is now a Chicago Bear. Yes. That is all. I'm in shock and awe still. I'm also sure there are bits of poo in my underwear.

I am the complete opposite of a Skins' fan, but I really did want him to go to Washington. I think Cutler would be way better than Campbell. Oh well.

ROFL, Broncosare my favorite team, and I didn't even know WTF was going on.
Thought you meant too-tan Jay Cutler. Hahahaha
Shows how close I follow football even when it's my favorite team. After I looked it up I realized, but I just don't know any football players' names anymore.

Not really a "fan" at that point, Sneaky. >_>

Jay Cutler was a huge baby about the whole situation, and McDaniels did not handle it very well either, lol. Regardless, QB was a big need for the Bears, so this should help em a little bit.

I should say I used to be a huge fan back in the Elway days and even back in the Craig Morton era (showing my age). My Dad used to take to lots of games at Mile High. Since Elway retired, I haven't really follwed them closely at all, but I'm still a fan at heart.

Just don't have time to keep up with any sports any more. lol

Cutler really was a baby about the whole thing. You have to wonder the other other players on Chicago and Denver that were put up on the trading block like he was, and didn't complain, will think of him. He may be talented as fuck, but this tantrum will follow him for the rest of his career.

Also, what the fuck is up with your avatar?

Don't deny it, you want him too.

The Bears gave up 2 first rounders to get him though, that's a real steep price... I understand it's the whole "proven commodity vs. unknown quantity" argument, but 2 first rounders could easily add up to more than Cutler.

Also, my Pats are looking totally stacked on offense this year, as well as preparing to make some defensive moves.

Cutler is a baby. He deserves the T.O. treatment for his off-season behavior. Needless to say, I don't see him doin' much for the Bears.

I agree here.

If I'm Denver, I'm psyched that Cutler went for that steep a price. He may be good, but if I'm drafting a first rounder, he'd better be the "full package", i.e. produce on the field, and be a leader off it. I don't see Cutler having that, at least right now. The fact that I got two first rounders, and the "type" of QB I wanted, is too good to be true.

Granted, the Denver Broncos stating that Kyle Orton is the kind of QB they desire is probably just a PR move.

No seriously, what is your avatar?

Denver will be fine without Cutler, just fine. He got a lot of attention but, imo, it was all unnecessary. The media likes to make sports teams out to be a one man team, but well all know better than that. The Broncos had a decent season and it had little to do with Cutler. They can put an average, which is really all he was, QB in his place and be okay with the team they have. With Cutler back at the helm things would have just been easier to go up on. Then again, with a baby at the helm who knows, this may end up bein' for the best for the Broncos.

I'll never understand these twits. You get paid millions of dollars to play a game, A GAME. Life can't be that bad.

Cutler may have been a baby but I completely agree with how he handled it. Why?

Because the NFL treats their players like crap. It's the only sport where players have no protection, and the team can terminate a contract without the players say so, especially when injury is involved. They are complete pawns, unlike any sport. I give kudo's to a Kid who didn't back down and finally took on the franchise and won. Most players back down when he didnt. If the "team" wants to shop him without his permission, which NFL teams can do, then I'm on his side with wanting out on his own terms. Sorry but they PAY for his abilities, not the other way around.

I may not agree with the money thrown around in Baseball and Hockey, but those players are protected and can live out a contract without fear of ever losing it.

The hell you smokin' on. If Cutler had decided to not be a baby the outcome would be the same, at worst, but he would have saved face. The Broncos were -thinkin'- about tradin' him and he got pissed about it, that's all there was to it. He wasn't goin' to be terminated. Also, players get shopped around in every major sports league, not just the NFL.

2 first round picks in any year> Cutler... Nough said lol.

Shopped around? In Baseball, they have to have permission from the player. Guess what? In most sports, they team would have to BUY out the contract... Baseball, Basketball,Hockey. In football, that is not the case. So I'm all for players standing up. This is my point. In the NFL, players virtually have no leverage or say so. So yeah, for once I'm with the player.

I don't care if he whined or not. Yeah he sounded like a baby, which makes it look bad. But the outcome for me would have been the same even if he acted like a professional. I mean who cares if he whined like a baby. Do you know how many athletes whine like this? So what, it's no big deal.

You don't want to show weakness in any professional sport, especially one as macho as football. The situation's made worse because he's going to be the starting quarterback. That position demands leadership in every area, and you can't lead well if your teammates doubt your character.

And I've always seen playing professional sports like any other job. You are employed to perform a job, if you don't perform, you can be fired or demoted. It's not quite a solid comparison because no employer is going to trade you too a different company, but it is similar enough in my opinion.

It's some guy from a European boy band.

So your one of the gays now? I mean, I kinda saw this coming a long time ago...

No it's not considering that Jerry Angelo can't draft the first round at all. So the steep price is kind of moot especially with the prices of a first round player now a days being more steep than what Cutler is paid. Also considering what John Elway was traded for. Herschel Walker also comes to mind (although 1 of the picks in the Walker trade turned out to be Emitt Smith).

Draft a receiver or a safety in the second round. Torry Holt is still on the market, and can probably be picked up for a 3 year contract fairly cheap coming off of an injury and down seasons.

I hear Plaxico Burress is available too. That could work well with the canon Cutler has going off. :awesome:

Oh yeah, I hear Kyle Orton is now lost in the Coors brewing factory.

The little you know of the Chicago organization of football. Jerry Angelo CAN NOT DRAFT IN THE FIRST ROUND. His decision making and scout evaluation is poor. Matt Forte was a 2nd round pick last year. The first pick? An offensive lineman sidelined the entire year recovering from back surgery. Greg Olsen appears to be the only recent first round pick that is actually going to work for the Bears.
