Job Adjustments and Additions: Part II (10/21/2009)

Ummm y'all forget at the very bottom they say "We will continue to observe the beastmaster job following the release of the November version update, and as necessary, make adjustments to special abilities and calling items for each pet." Some of you nay-saying BSTs act like this will be set in stone =P

Not to be a negative-nancy, but these are the same people who told us we'd get new avatars.

They should just give the Sic command a sub-option to choose which TP attack to use, like a dancer's dances or a Corsair's rolls from the JA menu. Summoners pick their bloodpacts, let beastmasters pick their Sic command.

QFT.

Considering SE's reputation on some of these types of issues, I find it likely we may get shafted. SE Announcement "We realize some of the beastmaster community were displeased by the update, but the Ready command was a success and is working as intended"

My predictions. Not exactly, I'm actually hoping SE will follow through, but I tend to be a little to trusting.

Trouble is, the next version update will most likely be in April now, if they don't do it by April, then it'll be a July/August patch, and if they don't do it there, most people would've left/quit

Yeah but when an update has caused some sort of glitch (or in this case HUGE negative reactions) they tend to make amends pretty damn fast. I'm no BST, so I cant really speak for y'all but I saw the same kind of griping when Composure was announce >.>

I agree with Lyall though, Sic should have been left as is, and just a sub-menu added for the TP move in question.

Not me griping about Composure because when they announced it I knew it was gonna be good, but Ready, if it works as it states, is just a nerf to jug pets.

They only put that statement in there because they know BST's would complain about it.
And waiting this long for a BST update and it only affects jug pets, really?

I heard/saw a lot of complaints about Composure at first. Once people got their hands on it was when people realized it was pretty decent. But again, I might just be talking out of my ass since I'm not a BST =P

Update seem really cool for smn, they going to be more support job, i hope ppl dont want them still like healers. Anyway who need partys lv 55+ on smn when they can get better xp in K.tunnel with less work, late update but still cool

It seems a little unfair to bsts now that they don't even have a chance of using "good" Sic commands until they've got charges built up. Seems a little backwards from what is used to be. If they wanted to give beasts control, they should outright give them control, like I suggested.

Yeah, I was one of the main bitchers about Composure. Now I can't live without it lol. I hate salvage til I get JAs back. I just feel that people shouldn't be bitching until it completely comes out. I did and I was wrong lol. They never tell you exactly what its going to do. Composure was like "Increases duration time, increases accuracy, but increases reacast time" or something like that. That wasn't pretty convincing to most RDMs til we figured out that it triples the duration time. Shit... I thought it going to just be like a minute or something.

Seems as though it'd impact some pets more than others. Funguar has a very wide variety of skills it can use, so being able to choose which -could- be beneficial. (Spore costing 1 when it's paralyze is so potent is a bit odd, especially compared to the Gases costing 3 when their damage is incredibly erratic)

Doesn't have as much of a use on monsters such as Carrie, however, and is nothing but a detriment if you use Tigers or Diremites (to which neither really have a -bad- WS to speak of, other than their AOEs which may be unwanted)

...Rather, nevermind. 1 "ready" point per 2 minutes is absurdly slow; 6 minutes to be able to choose one of their "best' skills is just insulting. That's figuratively breaking the legs of every jug pet.
