A number of job and battle system adjustments have been scheduled for the next version update.

New Magic and Job Abilities

A host of new magic and job abilities will be added to a number of jobs for the next version update. For example, teleport spells for the white mage, a warp spell for the black mage, sneak ninjutsu for the ninja, elemental spirit MP absorption ability for the summoner, and new automaton weapon skills for the puppetmaster.

Additions and adjustments are also in store for the two new jobs introduced in the Wings of the Goddess expansion.
For the dancer, adjustments will include shortened ability delay to six seconds for all waltzes used when trance is in effect. Adjustments for the scholar will see an increase in the maximum number of charges available for stratagems, and a reduction in charge time.

Apart from job abilities, new status-specific status icons will be also introduced to further enhance playability.

Shortened Immobility Duration

The issue whereby certain restoration magic causes the character to become temporarily immobile, will be addressed. Up until now, casting cure on a character immediately after they initiate the attack command will result in that character becoming unable to move until spellcasting is complete, even after they have assumed battle stance. This immobility duration will be reduced drastically with the next version update

Finally something worth being notified of. So long Silent Oil sales.

Warpga or Warpra? >.>

Can't think of any logical thing Warp III would do, aside "send target party member to YOUR home point".

Cutting down the cure-locking is a definite "win" in my book. I also look forward to new teles. Hopefully it'll be something to send me directly to Windurst Waters , since I keep running there to do Campaigns.

Agreed, nothing is more irritating than being cock-blocked by a Cure IV when you're starting a fight. I never blame Stine for it, because I know it's just the game mechanics, but it still pisses me off.

 SE.

It really pisses me off when I'm trying to tank, and the mob is massacring my BRD while I'm frozen in limbo.

Hooray for useful updates!

Yay, the new Puppetmaster weaponskills are finally being added! :)

They said at fanfest that they'd get to work on an AOE Warp.

And where's the PLD damage reflection spell they promised? >.<

My guess is the some of the adjustments mentioned for DNC and SCH will me Group 1 merits.
The other spells look cool, and it'll be cool to see what the new transportation spells do.
By status-specific icons, I suppose they mean spells from the same family (en-spells, bar-spells) will get symbols specific to the spell. Very neat for my PS2, less so for my PC.
Reduced spell locking is also a godsend.

PUP love. This update is made of win.

Might be added too, from the way they worded it, it doesn't sound like these abilities and spells are everything added, but only examples of what's to come.

Aye, Uzor.

Back to the Warp spell thing:

name speculation!!

Warpra (sounds dumb, also only WHM spells end in -ra afaik?)
Warp III? Nah.
Warpga? Nah. -ga spells hit the MOB, silly SE.

Escape II? Plausible? Escape = AOE, warps the pt out of dungeons, maybe Escape II = Warp the Party from anywhere?

Watch them add Tractor II.

Moves a dead person to their home point.

I'd bet on Warpra or Warp 3. The -ra suffix just means it's a party-only AoE, so that'd be the best fit.

Also, it's about fucking time they did something about cure locking. They're making it seem like it's intentional, but I'd bet cash it's a glitch they just got around to fixing.

Oh. My. God.

No more cure-bombing paralysis in Dynamis when I've only lost 100 or so HP?!

My damage dealt in merit cannons will be significantly increased with this...can't count the number of times where you're delayed for 3,5, up to 10 seconds by multiple casts hitting you right at engage or disengage.

yeah, the Cure-locking have always annoyed me to incredible lengths. Glad they finally got around to fixing it

I'm voting the new teleports are probably "Teleport Windurst-S", "Teleport Bastok-S", and "Teleport San'doria-S" and take you to the Allied Ensign just outside the 3 nations.

That's my speculation.

EDIT: Now here's the big question, lately most new spells have been bought in Aht Urghan or other towns. Will these be bought? Or quested like the older tele spells?

Probably quested. There's no shops in the past besides the shitty goblin shops, and it wouldn't make much sense if shopkeepers were blindly selling scrolls that open portals to the past without much thought.
Either that, or you could buy them for AN. Only from your home nation though!

Warp_S

Warp to your past nation

Idk about the teleports. I doubt they'll be to the 3 nations, that'd be kinda redundant.

Hurray for finally addressing the moving thing when spells are cast. Maybe, just maybe, they'll remove player blinking crap next?

Idk, they only seem to do a few jobs every update ; ;

They did make the job adjustments section deliberately vague. "For example" typically doesn't cover all the changes you intend to make, after all. So we may yet see some of the things they talked about at the Fanfest.
