So i just got out of an all JP Pt. Although it was an extremely good pt for a level 55 team (10-11k/hr) I can say i understand somewhat why many JP players like to only PT with other JP players.

Im sure there may be other reasons, and maybe this has been already said. But possible boredom may be one reason.

I got a random tell, from Byutu (nice guy btw ^^) which was all in JP, however i saw a "?" in it, so i thought "This must be a pt invite". So, fearing that if they knew i only spoke english, and maybe mistook me for a Japanese players, i responded 'Yes Please', and well here i am.

Now, if the pt wasnt rocking, i probably wouldntve had much fun. Its kinda boring being clueless as to what others are talking about, basically i was just strictly grinding and no social. However, Isollde kept me verbal company ^^ Thanks!

Also, for someone like me i like to be social, joke around and i cant really be that way with an all jp. Id definitely do it again, but doing it constantly may grow tiresome, thus im now more understanding of those who are "Jp Only". Though i would never be "NA Only"

Anyway, thats my 2 cents. The guys were really friendly tho, and seemed quite nice.

PS. Party was DNC BLM DRG NIN THF WAR on Colibri, i highly recommend.

Yep I was in an all Japanese party earlier Friday, I was 54 Sam and just doing some campiagn ops to make a safer buffer on my lv when I got a tell completely in Japanese.

Before I could respond I guess the inviter figured I might have trouble reading that so he send me a "Party do you need it?" Well I was game for a bit of exp so I said 'Yes Please" and we spent a fun few hours on Colibri's got myself 55 Sam which they were all nice enough to hang on for too I'll add.

I dont chat much in party mode anyway (unless its a bunch of LS mates that just cant be silenced lol) so I enjoy Japanese partys where we all just get down to some solid leveling. :)

This is the part where Vang comes in and says something relating to sucking off the JP players right?

Oh...fergot, this isn't the flameboard circa 2005.

Most NA PT sucks compared to JP, if you can speak both languages it's easy to check. Just yesterday, a random merit PT, the brd died not once, not two, but three times pulling the 3 first mamooljas, and he was like "I knew I shouldn't have bought this account". It's sad to say it but a lot of 75 NA either bought their account or PL'd their char to 75 and don't know how to play the game.

just what this thread needs, more assumptions.

this statement is ignorant and i thank you to take that bullshit elsewhere

Generalizing is bullshit.

Meh, when you've been deep into the JP community you'll know that there are just as shitty JP players as there are NA players, there are just as shitty JP HNM shells as there are NA. I've seen NA's take up to 4-5 hours to kill JoL or Khimaira or whatever and i've seen JP shells do the same thing. But the absolute topplayers on this server are no doubt JP's. People can whine about it all they want, some will feel offended and feel the need to defend their "honor". Doesnt change anything, the pimpest fucks on this server, both gear and skillwise, are JP's. Other servers have NA's at the top, and i dont think JP's are automatically better players, thinking that is stupid.

Lol, you kept me awake during a very long, and painful Panty Raid. XD Glad you had a good exp pt! Hurry the fuck up and get 63!! /slap~

I can honestly say I've had more good experiences with JP players than I have bad ones. I've actually made a couple pretty good friends with some of them. Although can't really random chit chat with them, it is fun to try to have a conversation in the auto-translate sometimes. As people have said, assumptions are crap. You can't generalize the JP community just as you can't generalize the EU or NA communities. Some are good players, some not as much. Some people prefer to play only with people they can communicate easily with. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion if you don't like theirs... leave them be simple as that! ;)

there are lot of gimp jp players but like kairiboo, i ran into more good one.

The primary reason most Japanese players say JP only isn't due to a difference in possible player skills. It's the difference in culture and not being able to understand what's happening or being able to communicate with other party members effectively.

Aye, I don't generalize groups. There's two things I can't stand: People who are intolerant of other people's cultures, and the Dutch.

Srsly tho', I've had terrible experiences with most of the JP parties I've had, which is why I don't generalize. Since other people say they're so great and all.

id say the biggest difference, and thing i like most is that on average jp players are a lot more courteous/well mannered and easy going. this may stem from cultural differences but for me its easy to see right away the reasons for all this "jp only"
