JP Only (From the other POV)

I prefer the bilingual. Easier to understand and in turn understand them.
I don't get distraught if someone responds to me with JP only, I just wish them a good day and move on.
 
What it all comes down to is the type of experiences you've had with the JP and maybe how is the ratio between those good/unbearable experiences.

People also need to keep in mind that just because you prefer to play in a certain way or get exp that not everyone will think like them. There's always going to be someone who says otherwise.

Granted, not everyone plays like an elitest since this game is played by different age groups and their ways of thinking may differ. Some play "just for fun," while others may take this game seriously.
Saying one player base is better than the other is foolish at best, as I have seen pretty much the same number of best/good/bad/worst players on both sides. However, I will say that even if that one JP has the pimpest gear or is one of the best players on the server, if their attitude is rotten, none of the above would matter and I will still label them as a bad player.
I'd rather party with someone who has mediocre gear with a good playing attitude than someone who thinks they are such hot stuff that have to flaunt that to everyone else to make a statement.

To be able to understand each other with lack of communicating tools is hard. People use the auto-translate but even then, it still hasn't filled the gaps between the player bases at all I think.
Just like how I see some people have bad experiences with the JP, the same can be said for them. They may have had bad experiences with the NA/EU and thus would rather not party with them. There's pretty much no use to get all worked up over it, you cannot change their minds in one party.

Im sorry i had no other choice of words but to label you a fool. This is just a generalization. Im sure theres gimp/bad/annoying jp Players just like there are bad NA players. Thinking theyre all so much better and that we , for the most part fail at this game is foolish. Im sure that NA's party more often with other english speaking players than jp players, so its unfair to generalize one group over the other when you havent spent equal time with either group.

Anyway, this thread wasnt made to say whos gimp, whos better. I was just merely offering another way of looking at the whole 'Jp Only' thing.

First off, pchan you're an idiot.

Second off, glomp this together with what Liefe said. Most JP players that are better geared and better skilled than NAs comes from how they approach this MMO. Its a social game, and the rules still apply. Japanese culture is group centered (not making a generalization about all Japanese people, its just a fact; and a lot of the success as a group and their interactions hinge on that and the in-group and out-group distinction. As Caerloc says, this does not make JP the best automatically - approaching the game in different ways has different strengths and weaknesses.

Fourth, its all about the JP players you are interacting with. Some are straight up assholes if you are a 外人 out of game you are a 外人　in game to them. I can respond to a text or shout written almost entirely in Japanese, but unless its in Japanese they won't give me the time of day, because they don't want to PT or what have you with out-group people. Most I come into contact with are nicer, especially if I don't give them anything to see me negatively or I speak in Japanese.

Fifth, when I'm on JP time next year I want a JP shell for social, <Help me out!> lol.

I think Impervious is on Deathwhisper.. I've got 10 barb there but the pvp is ridiculous. You get attacked every 5 minutes. I hear the RP-PVP servers are better about it, so I might roll on Cimmeria. I have a 26 Herald of Xotli on Set that I'm playing right now.

I honestly think we should stop even talking about this over and over again. It wont stop like that and it wont get better when we talk about this JP/NA PT stuff all the time. When I am looking for PT and I get asked in JP I do the same like the OP, I accept (I can read some Japanese so I usually know if they ask for PT or something else though). For me it does not really matter from what country that person is who is PTing with me. JP can be bad players, EU people can be bad players (and I know most germans ARE bad players... no, horrorible players) and so are some NA players. You will often get PTs that suck and sometimes you are lucky to get a good party. If you want a good Party all the time, just try and make a static with people you know. Problem solved.

But I think my mule was on bard 60 that time so only 300 Mp and then its down to 5k/h vs 9k with rdm.
