Choose your weapon.

I've always given him the benefit of the doubt and assumed: flg = Flag [As in having your flag up]

obviously the japanese client is the right one :P
Well put yourself in their shoes...

You're looking for members, and see a JE next to someone's name. According to your game, this means that they speak both japanese and english. You only speak japanese so you send a tell in japanese, only to get some half mangled auto-translated garbage mixed in with a language that's jibberish to you.

As a side note, don't autotranslate every single word in a long sentance when trying to use the autotranslator. Sentance structure is different, and often the word that you are translating has a completely different meaning that what you think it does.

JP only doesn't always mean JP only, it means they don't want to put up with retarded nooby NA's half the time. If you send a tell to them simply saying "PT?" you will get rejected or no response 99% of the time. If you actually send them a polite, structured invite, explaining the current setup of the party, where you plan on going, etc, you have a chance of getting them to join your party.

who doesn't do that already? O.o and I still put E for me cause I knowz English and that's all XD so ya.. I figured that's what it was for and the JP would see that, understand I don't know english, and bare with my ignorance of their language if they party with me :P

I'd hafto say that every single invite my SMN's gotten since 66 has been either a blind invite (I duo with Klank, so sometimes he gets asked first to party and when he says yes they just send an invite to me without saying anything...and because half of the blind invite IS from some random dumb party, I always hafto get confirmation from Klank as to whom is inviting all because the leader won't send me a stupid /tell.. :irked: ) or a simple, autotranslated "{party}?". Of course I'm gonna assume they mean an experience points party, but alot of people would call that being really informal/rude.

Really think the crappy autotranslator is a bad problem with the community..

ya.. SE dropped the ball with the translator.. *nods* yup...

>.>

*strangles ish* ^^v

that's actually a very courteous reply. at least he tells you why.

I put JE next to my name instead of just E cause on the menu bar it specifically tells you what kind of party do you want.....just english.....just japanese....or both? I choose to pty with both so I choose JE. Maybe yall are right and its supposed to be what language you can speak, but no where on that menu does it say anything about language. It asks what about the type of party.

I also take the time to look up standard japanese phrases so that I'm not restricted to only using the auto-translator. Many japanese know how to speak "ok" english...which is actually better than some americans can do....I want name, names, lol. So, since they take the time to learn english, I take the time to learn a little bit of japanese. Its a "respect" kind of thing in my eyes.

So, the JE stays up by my name and forever shall it remain. :)

Speaking of autotranslated jibberish, I can't even figure out what the hell Blazn is trying to say in English, how is someone Japanese supposed to figure out what the hell "<Do you need it?> <please> </no> <Japanese> only <Party>" means?

hmmm.. I'll get the top language professors on it D:

You can't say you speak Japanese when you copy and paste phrases from
"Shigemo's FF11 Guide"
.

I try to use phrases in there while I'm in an IME, but I also have my Japanese for dummies book out, aswell as a couple I've rented from the library for a while. And even I don't consider myself aplicable to say JP only.

Quit sucking JP dick and put set your Language preference to English.

But I don't want a minute man.. :omg:

Oh right, LANGUAGE...sorry, but despite what may be thought of JP by some people, there are TONS of them that are nice. It's not anyone's fault but your own if you can't figure out the horrid problems with the auto-translate, which is the the cause of problem at least some of the time...and yeh, end-game and otherwise there's several JP LSes that do shady/underhanded crap, but it's not like several NA LS don't pull sh-!t too.

And how is saying not all of them are racist pigs "sucking dick"? I'm suddenly some asskisser for not stereotyping an entire part of the community as bad people? If you really led yourself to believe that an entire part of the community is total scum, you really needto get the hell out of wherever you hang out at.
