I have looked all over the place but can find no true answer....Tiya and I went to Lufaise Meadows and Miseraux Coast last night with the "Brygid the stylist returns" quest activated.

We fought the RNG fomors about 10 times and not a single subligar drop....we didn't even try BLM, discouraging. I wanted to be one of the first NA on our server to wear my aketon

Soooo my question is.....did we just have bad luck on the drops? Or are we fighting the Fomors in the wrong spot? T and I had heard a rumor that we needed to fight them in some aquaducts place inside the Taz safehold....uggh fuck it, im pissed for wasting my time.

Please help!!

Sugligars only Drop in Auqaducts witch has a lv40 cap zone.

Neener neener, I have my fancy subligar~ 8)
...
well, I can't wear it yet...

Phomiuna Aqueducts, lvl 40 cap, undead with accumulating hate (so after you've killed X many of them they have true sight). Carby pulling doesn't work. The couple of times we went there I think we had ~2 parties. I had a blast. :D

The jellies aggro so you need sneak/oils for them; the undead have an AOE Drown which is pretty nasty so Erase = teh sex. They also have an AOE TP drain move which is annoying as fuck.

And uh, don't face the Stegotaurs when they're charging up to do a move. They'll curse you and a bit later you drop dead. Cursna often doesn't remove the curse, ISTR we had a little better luck with holy waters, but those didn't work all the time either.

I want to go agaaaaaain *whine*

What's the drop rate like, especially since you won't be able to have th2 in the party?

Drop rate is pretty decent if not good. Its nothing like hunting for coffer keys or genkai items. Only problem is fighting the mobs that are bunched together since they link by sound. Sleep arrows and horde lullaby didn't seem to work very well however an elemental seal+sleep worked.

mobs in aquaducts should be anywhere from T-IT if i recall correctly, its been a while since i been down there

Fomors AE drown is incredibly powerful its a -36STR with a 15 damage a tick DOT

stegotaurs doom is a bitch too.... becuase cursna has a chance ( prolly around 60%) of failing.

So should it be no less than an alliance to go subby hunting or could a party take these out? Im sure an alliance will be your answer but god knows how easy those are to get togethor

Depends on what Subs you are after. The more difficult to get due to bunching together are the SAM and RDM as well as one area with a THF spawn (the WAR w/ him hits very very hard). The first time I did this was with 12 people and it was a sinch even with some of the grouped together spots. The next 2 times I came to do this we had 6-7 people and it was just a matter of doing things smart and carefully. So with an intelligent party of 6-7 its possible. Your WHM really needs to have Erase or you can expect it to be alot harder w/ that AoE drown they do.

I believe the SW part of the map (in a big circular room) has MNK, RNG, THF, NIN, BST and DRG w/ a nearby smaller room w/ a DRK in there. You could spend most of your time camping here and it isn't too tough. Just watch how you pull. on the NW side of the map (near the Minotaur) is PLD and BRD. So that right there knocks out most of your job needs. Taking on the RDM, PLD, and SAM past one of the locked doors is pretty tough though if you are looking for SAM and RDM Subs.

So far we've been successful in getting all the Subs we need aside from RDM with that 6-7 setup (rng (thf one time), rng, mnk, nin, sam, whm, whm)

Fomors are oddly light element based and resist lullaby completely, sleep on the other hand works rather nicely. The only suggestion I can give you is before pulling pay close attention to how fomors move. If they all move at the same time and stop at the same time that means they are in a PT (as funny as that sounds). When you pull one, no matter how far the others are, they will link. This is the case of the mobs passed locked doors on the way to the library. They are possible to kill but need more then one PT to handle. Learned that the hard way -_-' Also the map of that place is a complete waste of key item space ><

(If someone already mentioned all that, just ignore, I got lazy reading other posts XD)
