Katana question.

This is what I wear atm at lvl 61. Main Hand: Sai+1 Sub: Buboso.
My question is should I change these weapons with Kabutowari +1's or wait till Kororito +1's. and Im not buying Sairen. Or should I just wait till Imanotsurugi & Fudo? Suggestions plz.
 
Use what you feel best with. I like Sai+1 as more parrys :D
But at 61 might be best if you want to DD more then change. Also parry does suck unless capped.
 
Change to high damage katanas, that's how you keep hate, and you need it at this level. Who cares about parrying... it's probably so underlevelled it doesn't matter and you're a NIN, it procs after evasion which should be nearly capped.

It's a matter of taste. I think kabutowari+1 is a major upgrade (in DPS) and I changed both. I'm almost certain the stats from buboso won't induce more damage than another kabutowari+1, even though I never parsed with it. DPS-wise, it's 0.5 under or so, probably quite a big difference to justify keeping the buboso. One last argument: buboso is probably an expensive katana still so you might as well sell it and buy a rather cheap kabutowari+1 and pimp yourself elsewhere to compensate.

QFT. This is the best advice you can get. NIN needs to do a lot of damage to compete with other jobs in order maintain hate and the best/easiest way to do this is with katanas. Drop the Sai and Buboso and get a pair of kabutowari+1 and then kororito+1 at 66. Highest base damage weapons for their levels and they also have the highest DPS as well.
 
ty for the advices, I was wondering mostly cuz Ive had no real issue holding hate with these weapons, I will change katanas and maybe it will work even better.
 
drop sai. My parry has been capped on nin from 50-69, and let me tell you; i never parry lol.

Pair it with Kabutowari +1. That should do you for a few levels.

Unless you are using it solely for the +3 acc, Kabutowari+1 is still better for off-hand. It has a better DPS by about .5 which is all the more reason plus the drop off the katana is supposedly very low drop rate. Hotogisu is a good off-hand katana in the mid-50's, but once you can equip kabu+1, I'd consider dropping it. There are a few decent rare/ex katanas which you can get but the problem with them is they are a pain to get and for most people, unless the katana will be a permanent addition to your gear setup, most are unwilling to farm them unless they happen to be there. I own a hotogisu, but I would never have bothered to obtain it unless I hadn't been passing through on the way to do Hakutaku.
