Kicking the gimp-equipped: am I an asshole?

Did you ever XP with me? No you faked DC when we arrived at camp.

I lvled monk in AF to 75 like 2.5 years ago, when SH was 14 millions and every monk equipment way to expensive.
I never had a complains or a flame about me or my skills in XP and people I got xp with was inviting me the days or weeks after.

I am just saying that Jojojo got his BB and start Doing HNM so he starts flaming people for being gimp. Sounds his head got big too fast. Also not thanking Integralis for providing him 2/3 items is not very cool.

As has been said millions of times, it doesn't matter the cost of SH, the cost of everything was escalated in about the same proportion. It would take the same amount of effort when it was 2m as it would when it was 14m. Just another excuse to be gimp to 75.

There is no rush to 75, take your time, enjoy the game, the quests that are fun when you have a little challenge.

Dont do this to yourself please, any self respecting MNK WAR NIN anything, just dont do it lol.

I enjoyed the game with this 75 equipment. I did what I said, got a endgame LS, improved my equipment. Who are you to judge what equipment I should had when I dinged monk?
You do the game your way, I do it my way. I don't like elitists like you, and I don't fake DC like you do. I respect other players, I don't kick players from my party and I accept all Jobs. This is another way to play this game.
See my equipments today on monk or Blm and I think I don't have to be ashamed of my equipment.

I have fun in Game and Friends, that's all I need.

On a side note I really don't care about what you can say, for me your posts have to interest just saying again and again the same things because you have no arguments.

And by the way, this thread is about judging what a player should be geared like, gimping your way through isn't the correct way, and most people here agree.

As for "l0lz j00 can't call others gimpz" argument ... there's a very obvious line between "average" and "miserably bad." Jojojo might have mediocre monk gear, yes, but I don't think anyone would argue that it's inappropriate, or unreasonable. Yes, he himself does not have the absolute best. In NO way does this somehow forbid Jojojo from identifying people with the absolute WORST.

A monk with intelligence rings and a black tunic is just gimp. It's alright to say so, even if you're not the best of the best. Nobody ever said you had to be the cream of the crop yourself to point out people at the very extreme opposite end of the spectrum.

Just because I'm still missing 2 HQ staves, Novio's, sorcerer's ring, and obis as a black mage doesn't mean that I can't gape in horror at a 75 black mage still waltzing around with a level 20 wand. If I were to make an issue out of a fellow nuker without even a single NQ elemental staff, I'd laugh in the bloody FACE of anyone who tried to turn it around on me because I don't have Zenith mitts yet.

Once again, expecting a minimum out of others is not the same thing as claiming yourself as the absolute pinnacle of equipment.

Just my two cents...

I'm not sure why people are saying I'm flaming people for being gimp. I've only flamed people for pissing me off or for being utter failures at their jobs.

I'm also not sure why people brought my black belt up in the first place, I've held this viewpoint since I stopped wearing NQ level 14 rings four years ago...getting my BB had nothing to do with it.

It's like a warrior who's just gotten ridill, they think they are the shit, when in fact they are worse off then they were before because they don't have the gear or merits to make full use of the new shiny they just got.

How is me mentioning The fact that you constantly make flames on people based on their gear missing the point dude? LOL. First off you have made several flames based on their gear, NOT their playing style. Reread your own flames and posts if you dont believe me.

And IF you read the posts here, which i highly doubt, the BB is a basis on your gear. You sport less than adaquate(sp) ears and such. Since you comment on other's gear and such, its only right that others are given a chance to rip into yours correct?

I agree, this long since stopped being a discussion and more a multi-character assasination, really its just a bunch of people pointing fingers at other people for have less than supreme gear.

I work towards better gear as I can, being around other people in endgame with the same jobs has helped me see what I can do for myself, I dont look down at others for their gear choices I try not to be that way because when I got my first job to 75 I was prob very unsure of what helps me the most.

You live and learn and those that can adapt and improve upon themselfs will be the best they can be at their jobs. I only hope I can be that good too eventually. :)

I note the name of ppl that do that. If you lfp, then you want xp. If you leave 30 minute after start then you don't want xp. If you don't want xp i don't invite you. getting bored of noob screwing my xp and time like you.

I'd like to note that this statement shows a completely non-absolutist understanding that there are a variety of situations which call for a variety of reactions. I'd also like to note that this statement shows perspective enough, not to pigeonhole someone negatively for a perceived "bad" act, without considering any mitigating circumstances.

If you're in the habit of consistently inviting total gimps to your parties, by all means spare me the agony of enduring one of your parties. There's nothing I would like more than one more chance to make sure that I never again see Antdog lined up in the party roster, dishing out his mighty 125 point Rampages.

I think...If the person is doing there job aka war/pld/nin and are not having that big of a problem holding hate and dont have to have cures spamed on them every 5 seconds and/or drk/rng/blm all the rest arent having that big of a problem killing a mob in a decent amount of time Gear isint that big of an issue. Ive come across some players that tank/deal more damage at 50 with 40 gear then people all decked out with Acc and att gear O.o so like i said if they can play their job well it shouldint matter.

And yet he still gets parties. Hell, the one time I wound up with him in my party, Reya had found him fouling the experience in her party the day before.

If they're doing their job that well, they're going to have good gear on already so gimpness isn't an issue.
