I guess I will have to spice this topic up a bit.
This game is supposed to be released September but expect delays.
This first Killzone didn't bring us much to the table. The frame write was really horrible, making controlling the game extremely difficult. All the movements felt edgy and very unnatural. The game itself was just meh, but it made up for it in an awesome story line and characters.
Killzone Liberation: a sequel came out for the PSP and it was pretty fun. Fun game play a new third person perspective gave it a very "Neo-Contra" feel.
I wanted more though.
Killzone2 a bit of a confusing name since there was Liberation, some refer to it as Killzone3 since it is the third in the series but the official title is Killzone2
The first trailer I saw for this was the most beautiful game play I had ever saw. Months later I found out that was not game play, wasn't even part of the game, just a nice cinema that they sped up the frame rate to make really good and crisp, you tricky bastards.
When the official trailer was released I was not disappointed. This game is beautiful. The graphics are stunning, absolutely stunning. The cinemas are to "die for" Looks like you’re watching a CGI movie that blows Pixar out of the water, but the game play doesn't fall far behind.
One of the most interesting things I found out about this game is the way the designers made the blood. Yes the blood in this game will be beautiful, and don't drag Gears of War blood into this because it won't compare.
Instead of making the blood a texture like all previous games have before, they made it a liquid. Its hard to understand but the developers put a lot of time into the blood in killzone2. The blood will flow more realistically and look more realistically than any other game before. When you shoot someone the blood will spray into different directions and never be the same. Blood will drip, move, and, flow. You kill an enemy on a hill there blood will flow accordingly. You kill someone on a ledge there blood will drip accordingly. Well that’s the idea at least. This makes me very interested to see how this system actually works out.
I’m sure the story will not be lacking either since the first one was so well done.
I’m looking forward to this game with great anticipation. This will be one of the dynamic PS3 exclusives being released soon.
