That's why the people going pay attention(this is key) and sleep anyone with a dangerous 2hr. Or just have the paladin invincible or have the monk burn theirs sometime so they can't use it when charmed. It's very easy to predict who gets charmed and when like Artem said, the fight is quite simple.

I thought that when charmed, he can and will use your 2-hour abilities whether it's on cool-off or not? At least thats what I've always heard. =/
 
The NM uses the 2-hour, not the charmed player. Also, I've seen it use the 2-hour of someone *other than* the charmed player on several occasions so ... be careful if you bring a NIN along.

(Also note that if he uses Soul Voice, he apparently thinks he's more threatening for the rest of the battle by doing such dastardly things as casting Etudes on himself, and doesn't use BLM nukes for the rest of the fight. Not sure if that's still the case - I haven't fought him in a long time - and I know not all 2-hours make him lose the BLM nukes, but I still found it funny.)

Related to what Artem said, since it charms in a specific order; all you need to do is equip a staff or low level weapon. Since your TP is zero'd when you're charmed, switching weapons doesn't matter.

It's such an easy fight...Sorry to hear you burned your seals on the dragons :\
 
to shyrra. . .stfu 0/39 on the fights we won and if u think thats bad try 1/269 on mee deegi the punisher. I didnt get an o kotes drop from him till they became
r/ex and u can ask odhinn how many times i camped the sob.
 
when me and my ls mate were tryin for ours we had a lot of no drop runs. but when i finally got mine he got his a few runs later.

lol, That's bullshit. The chances of that even happening are... well Vilirum can do the math for me but it's damn near impossible. Let me guess, you're 0/34893434985 on Optical hat too?

Just want to point out that altho the switch weapon thing IS helpful, keep in mind the 2-hour (HF in this case) is used by the Ahriman itself, not the player. Didn't want people to think you could have a mnk equip a staff and evade the 2-hour.

Btw, ranger owns in this. Charmed people don't use ranged attack and well, the Ahriman doesn't have a ranged weapon to EES. I've seen the Ahriman not use any 2-hours many times to.
 
look, if you really wanted a set of dests you would have one by now. people go every day for DD, lots of people. go set up camp there one day and ask groups doing it if you can lot dests if they drop... or even buy them, they're worth a few hundred k to a monk if you just can't seem to get them on your own...i'd estimate about 8 parties doing 4-6 runs go through every day at the least. destroyer drop rate is somewhere in the range of 20%

Having never once camped Mee, I'd need an approximate regular drop rate (25%? 10%? 2%? gimme numbers) before I could do the math out to see how improbable 1/269 is. It does, however, sound like a *second* case of probability paying you an enviable amount of negative attention.

Think of it this way - assuming both your numbers are true and unexaggerated, and you were accurate at counting in the first place (human error, ya know, it does stuff), doesn't that just mean that one of these days you're due for something really really *nice* to happen by sheer good luck?

(Doesn't have to happen in-game either, so think about nice random stuff that's happened in RL too!)

I would probably put O-kote at 20-25%. I have only camped him a few times, but have heard stories of people going 1/4 on them. Although I have heard stories of 1/14 too so ya.
