Ok so im in the Jungle helping out some Ls mates and in the party is this Rdm/Blm who is Trying to DD.

I guess it didnt work out because after a while a 75 Pld shows up (still not sure why I was pling on rdm/whm with over 1100mp) . Anyway she goes to the back line when he shows up and starts nuking the shit out of everything..I mean I wish my fast cast kicked in like that. She was getting a bunch of hate. I have to add that most mages know it's important to pause between nukes so you dont get unwanted hate. Well i shoot her a tell ....see screen shot.

Well..to me this is just ignorance. even if she did have a pl (of her own mind you) shouldnt she want to help the party out by casting an enfeeb on the mob? Instead she started talking about how the other rdm wasn't doing anything when he was curing people. I personally saw her cast very few cures. And she brags about how most of her mage jobs are lvl 75...see screen shot.

Now i have to say ive had my whm at 75 about 3 years and my rdm to 75 about the same. I never brag about myself. There are so many mages on our server better then me. But to see someone say "Im The Best White Mage" Just makes me think you suck so bad you have to brag to stroke your own ego.She states that if i want to play rdm to join the party, I got news i was on rdm and i was doing better then she was from outside the party.. Anyway after all this she left the party..I offered a pvp battle on rdms once the party was over and i was done but she didnt reply.. I dont know about you but when someone brags about having blahblah 75 jobs and being "The Best" It makes me think they are full of shit. When i asked her to bust out with a 75 mage job she ran like a wussy.
 
Fast cast doesn't kick in FYI, it's always active. >.<
 
Brother. That's just silly...I admit I know how not to overnuke (I started blm in the days when the SC was king!) but there's no need to brag ^^
 
Ya, anyone that says they're "the best" at anything usually isn't even close to adequate at it. They just hope that if they say they're "the best" enough times, someone might actually believe them.

To be fair, as long as you're not overcamping, the only enfeeble that I'd really give a shit about on Mandies is Dia II.

I honestly don't mind if a mage is pulling hate with nukes constantly as long as 1) they don't die because of it and 2) as long as they aren't stupid far from the mob and make all the melees chase the damn thing when they do pull hate.

Umm... Isn't that what usually happens when a mage constantly over nukes?
 
Soo, if I understand this correctly, we have a red mage, in a level 33 party, who brought a PL, instead of being a good little red mage and enfeeble instead decides to speed things up a little and nuke effectively increasing your exp gain ever so slightly?
What blasphemy!

Let's get to the point:
They brought the PL, they can do whatever they want.
It's an exp party, at level 33 to boot, hardly even worth to take any kind of game mechanics into consideration aside from kill mob, recieve exp.

They pull that shit in a serious situation I might consider this flame credible.
 
I think part of it was just her attitude towards the situation. The nuking I'm not gonna say anything about, but her attitude of "I'm the best whm" just makes me wonder if she transfers that when she's playing a higher level job. I've always been a proponent of doing your job regardless of your level, because the later you do it the worse off you are.
 
yea I agree the bragging is never good, and usually means the opposite anyhow. And idk personally I dont care what kinda PL sum1 had, I wouldnt want all that unnecessary mob attention on RDM especially at that level. Also in parties ive been in, even if there was a PL in an exp party, I always at least tried to use some enhancing/healing magic even though PL would out-cure me usually. cuz you cant 100% rely on ONLY the PL, cuz unless theyre being DB'd by sum1 in party or theyre together,there is always that chance when the PL could be curing one party member and another could get a hi dmg hit and be dying. the healer within the party would be the savior in that one. seeing this from both my PL-er, and a party member points of view.
 
Oy, what a headache. A mage should be humble, calm and poised. Anyone with that much bravado to kick around is no fun to play with and probably not that great at their job.

I guess this just means the list of other mages I want to strangle has to be amended again.
 
the thing was when i showed up she was using a sword and trying to dd on the mob for little to no damage. I was the pl (not hers) and when she realised i expected her to help cure after everyone was slept she got her own pl and went to the back line. I have seen some awesome rdm with dd subjobs do great damage.. but i learned if you are /anymage on redmage you are not a dd or melee. The other redmage was enfeebling and helping cure for skillups. I made it clear i would pl but the mages had to do the jobs they were on.. I would back them up. That way at least they learn something about the job they are playing or get skillups even. its funny she points out that she has most 75 mage jobs ....see screen shot....in all of these she was not lvl synced except the one in garlaige..her rdm was only made it as far as 34 in the party i was pling ..

Curaga> cure (insert#) in a situation where a mob AOE sleeps, unless you have a dnc in that case a signle cure works. But yea having a PL doesn't me you don't have to do what's a part of your job, a PL is just a means of support, that's it.

In two of those pics she is in a party. One is a SMN burn and the other is a party in Garlaige Citadel on the job you are flaming her about from your the party. Both would be leveled synced. You actually have no idea what level her jobs are, and trying to prove it like that is just foolish.

He did say that she wasn't level sync'd.
