Was in Yuhtunga Jungle soloing my bst, and i see there is 2 pt there, most Lv.20 and below gear... some even use lv1 Race gear (the gear you started off when you create new character) all have some sort of PLer, and all with Gimp sub!, even a galka with PLD75 having WHM11 sub and rank5 :3

I don't know are those RMT or not.. but if they are, shit load of them are leveling right now

That last rmt, on the bottom of the list, has the correct level sub and rank 10!
 
bedwarmer is the rmt, I swear he tried to sell me blue magic scrolls!

but in seriousness I'm not really sure what you're saying, rmt activity has been greatly diminished over the years they're seen every blue moon or so nowadays and easy to distinguish.

they aren't completely gone yet
 
We can all agree that RMT has not been completely culled, and that they cannot be stopped, however, there is a rather large influx of them recently. After all, we are coming up on the Christmas season, and there are bats to kill, NM's to monopolize and sky triggers and ancient currency to glut the market with post-haste. And, of course, we, the masses, to keep them in business as we all buy foods from them on a daily basis.

Anyway, i'm posting this just for heads up, and i didn't edit the screenshot except cut and paste.

i hope they will be ban soon before they start monopolizing the camps

And banning doesn't mean everything, look at you, Tyrath and Tymon ;)
 
Well, what I do not get about it is the simple fact so many have been banned...that it's not even worthwhile to even TRY to restart their business...

You remember the old days of Sky? Had like 20-30 RMTs, level 75...all great uber gear(The rare smart RMT LSs), raped stuff like Kirin in 40min easily.

They not in sky anymore, to my knowledge...can't get the huge HNM like Bune etc...so why are they ridding themselfs to piddly stuff like..bat wings and Spook and the sort?

After the mass of them were banned, they can't even get on a sold account for long without being banned.

I think after all the mass bannings, and being unable to make gil like they were able to with such consistency..I'd think they'd try making $$$ through other means irl, since it doesn't make much in FFXI anymore besides Scrolls to quest...

Even PLing crafts to 100 quickly then redoing that over and over...even that will / should die down soon. Costs too much gil to level a craft without farming the materials, and we know they do not take the time to do that.

Sooner or later it will be a lost cause. Just have to get to the point where paying the monthly bills for the characters are outweighing the price of gil.

Hell...gil is like 49-50?$ per Mil now...that was 20$ WAY back when...no one..even gilbuyers...are going to want to pay that much nonstop for gil at 50$ per mil. HUGE Money sink IRL, specially when most people only get 150-200~MAYBE 300$ a month...unless you're someone who has a nice steady job. Even then I'd think they'd be doing something other than playing FFXI.

Just pray they all die out soon.
 
according to the emails everyone gets from Pol frequently it's lowered to 30~40ish again
 
Yeah but remember that this isnt the ONLY MMORPG they get their money from. They tend to offer their services for other games as well so even if they are fighting a losing battle on FFXI, they will have other games to fall back on.
 
I miss Large. He was fucking awesome.
 
Don't ffxi have some kind deal going on right now where you get first couple weeks free? Could be why see more of them because not costing them as much.
 
I don't think they're necessarily RMT. They all have fairly normal names, subjobs, and most are above rank 1.....the typical signs for RMT.
 
I wouldn't say large amounts looking at the list a little closer.
It looks like no more then a party as the only notable characters are the rank one that all have level 26 mains with level 10 subjobs.
All the other players look pretty legit to me.

Aside from that, they won't be monopolizing anything.
RMT have that distinct behaviour patern that easily seperates them from any other player which the STF has been recognizing as easy as we legit players have.
So even 'if' they reach (H)NM levels, they won't last long at all.
