I couldn't agree more. I also see how when she calls someone out, it develops into an 'oh I was just kidding ^^b' when she sees that people aren't on her side about it. Now for my story.

I was in CK with her for quite sometime. She claims that I was the reason she took a break from the game. Always got along with her, joked with her on ventrilo, she was fun to hang around with. After a post was made on CK about paying attention and working together as a team, which she was involved in the discussion as well, an incident happened at Fafnir and ... lets just say a Blizzard III landed on darter in the Aery after a very shakey claim occured (dia, spinning, just got under control... bring on the flies... etc.) So anyways, that gets over, everyones mad blah blah. She went on the forum, said 'Sorry guys my mistake ^^;'... I was a little irked, considering that CK had historically had so little claims for whatever reason and generally when we do go to Fafnir, Kink never managed to show up. While the males in the shell patted her on the ass a bit claiming that 'everything was going to be okay' and comparing her to another incident that previously happened at jorm involving another member CFH when trying to help out on an aggroed bomb (completely innocent imo). I was kinda ticked, seeing that no one even cared, or at least if they did they wouldn't say a word to her. Wasn't paying attention, didn't know whats going on, meanwhile this whole debate was on our own forums about what needs to be done.

So I basically told her that if she knows shes going to be AFK or if shes unsure of what shes doing during something as vital as that, to at least let us know and tell us whats going on. I told her to ask what was happening and ask what should be casted. Everyone was told what to do, but I guess she didn't hear/see it. She didn't reply for 2 weeks. It sat there. Time went by. Everyone in the LS forgot about the entire thing. After that she comes on, swearing up and down that I'm a bitch for saying any of this. Then she disappeared from the game for a bit. Most of us thought that she was off working on her education cause we all knew that was swamping her but I guess not.

Needless to say, once again she came back to post on my FFXI quitting post to tell me I was the reason she left. Cause I was tired of seeing her get her way because she has a way with men and making a mountain into a molehill. All I was pointing out to her was that this was the exact type of thing that was problematic in the shell, and suddenly she questions not only my reasoning for saying it, but my ingame skill, my personal life. ANYTHING she can get on me.

You know Kink, your a sweetheart on the outside. But seriously, piss you off and you turn out to be one royal brat.

Aside/semi-unrelated: Also would like to add, since you never read my PM on MI forums, your claims that you never got anything from CK - 1000 points = yeah right, no one ever even amassed 800 in CK, let alone you. Also how much use you getting with that Vivian Ring on your BLM and that Temperance Torque that you lotted for your BST because 'you had nothing better to spend your points on'? I know at least one person who was royally ticked when he heard the reason you were lotting that Torque. And I know a few people in the shell who ultimately are pissed you lotted that Vivian Ring... for your BLM. Don't ever say you never got anything worth value from CK.

Just a short response. Kink lotted Temperance Torque (in late 2005, I think, certainly no later than the first quarter of 2006) because she has a 75 BST. She asked whether she could or should lot it, was told it was ok for her to lot, did, and no one said a word at the time or thereafter that she shouldn't. The very first time she or I heard ANYone say she should not have lotted it or that it caused any bad feelings was about three weeks ago. And even then, no one in CK ever told her. A member told me when we were having a /tell conversation.

Regarding Vivian Ring, every single mage in the alliance that defeated Viv lotted that one, as I recall, including a number of others who really didn't need it. I was there, I lotted it, I didn't get it. Kink only lotted it when it was clear no whm was going to get it. I will also tell you right now, that it was I who told her to go ahead and lot it. She asked me if I was sure, and I said yes. She did. If you have a problem on the Viv ring, bring it on me and not on Kink. I was there for all of it.

As to the other issues you raised, the one thing Kink really wanted to acquire was Zenith Mitts. Kink never, ever, got Zenith Mitts while in CK, even though her other 75 job, and the one CK usually wanted her to bring, was Black Mage - the job Zenith Mitts seem to have been made for. Other people, including a RDM, were allowed to lot for the mitts and get them. When Kink left, she had considerably more points than any other blm in the shell who did not have Zeniths (a situation that was ongoing for at least a calendar quarter before she curtailed her in-game activities), and had been with the shell longer than any such blms.

Kink was indeed away for a long time, and was very busy with nursing school. After she had gotten comfortable with the classes and the study requirements, and developed good study habits, she has been able to play a bit more, and does. People knew she was starting nursing school, the shell reformed, almost everyone else carried their points over to the new shell, and Kink was not allowed to. Yeah, if I were her I'd be just a tiny bit pissed off too.

Finally, I've talked to some people about the supposed issues with Temperance and Viv, have heard what you repeated here, and, putting it kindly, your information is not accurate. And I've told those I've talked to about it from CK the same thing.

In the present situation - Kink has been leveling a new character, saw a NM, reported it if anyone was interested, got chewed up and spit out for it by the troll threadcrappers, and decided to leave qcdn. Some have said she's running away, that she can dish it out but can't take it, etc. To my mind, she came to a decision that the the bs (and especially the troll threadcrapping) that goes on in qcdn is unpleasant and diminishes enjoyment of the game; that, for her, the cons of being on QCDN definitely outweighed the pros; and announced she's leaving qcdn (not the game).

You've used this as an opportunity to bring up old stuff. The way you have done so does not become you.

It wasn't a NM, it was a level 20 mob, and it was accompanied with a bunch of other "look at me" threads
 
She had maybe 50-100 points on top of mine the last time she attended a Genbu before I got my ahands. By the time she attended the last Genbu she came to I was already pretty much on top of her in points even after buying my ahands due to her lack of attendance. She's overstating what she had by far. Anyone who did points back then would agree wholeheartedly with me. She told an MI lead that she had over 1000 points in CK when the top point holder at the time of the shell changing over had maybe 750 or close to 800. Exaggeration much?

As for the Vivian ring, its not so much brought up as a point that she shouldn't have lotted it, but more as a point of what she told people that she never obtained anything from CK. I know she wanted ahands. I know she wanted them bad. She made it clearly known to everyone that that was pretty much all she wanted. Genbu is sorry that he didn't drop them when she attended. Had she not threw a fit and quit the game for a month or two, she'd probably have them now. I know at least 4-5 pairs that dropped between the time she yelled at me on CK forum and the time when I quit the game. A little patience and a cool head will get you a long ways.

Also Fire. Kink has been ignoring everything we tell her about the new rules of the new shell. The points were kept by members who were inactive and who were active within the shell. Not members who were kicked or left on their own free will. Ana removed Kinkkerbelle from the official roster. Therefore. She relinquished any points during her tenure. Will you please inform her of this? All members who left the shell before for a variety of reasons that came back didn't get points back. A few members did, but thats pretty much because they went inactive, not remained active while outside the shell. Those rules were put in place so that Ana quitting and CK being physically snapped didn't cause all of its members to have wasted months of their life. Does she understand that or is she still assuring herself that this is only affecting her? I'll leave it at that, thats another discussion.

But like you said, its bringing up alot of the past. I was openly called a 'bitch who made her quit' on this forum by her when I posted that I was officially done with the game, which in my opinion, is not very becoming either, Fire.
 
I love people who claim to have gotten nothing / dicked over by a shell when they really got some pretty sweet gear. Reminds me of a few other people I can but won't name... If I can ever join a shell that ONLY nets me a Vivian's Ring, my ass would be all over that.
 
oh no... she didn't get a hands... who cares about a torque or vivian ring... THE A HANDS ARE LACKING thus she didn't get anything good from the shell.

I'd very much have to agree with Meeze, that "NM" is not a threat, it doesn't deserve its own attention whore-ing thread. It drops nothing of neat value.
