Yeah...you might also want to consider GOING THERE YOURSELF FIRST, seeing as how all you do is talk about Asian culture and yet have never stepped foot in ANY of these countries (no, not even Japan), or even that continent, or have any racial ties to Asia whatsoever. You are 100% American, and 100% white. Taking a couple years of online Japanese courses and watching lots of anime then pretending to your friends that you are "forgetting how to speak English properly" doesn't change anything. Saying your race is "other" on your Myspace has always been retarded, you're white for Christ's sake. You are a white American, and no matter what you do, that will always be the case. You have better chances of becoming a girl than you do of becoming Asian, since you dream of being both.
Glad you guys finally caught onto his BS- I've been watching this sad spectacle for a while, first as this guy's real life friend wondering how I was going to help him regain some form of sanity, and then once I realized there was nothing I could do to help, as a form of entertainment because I realized what a selfish moron this guy is. Lyria, he didn't pick up on it because the only stuff he knows about Japan is the stuff he learned in school, on TV, or through the few Japanese American friends he's made so that he could say "my best friend's Japanese" even though she appears to know even less about Japanese culture than he does, which, clearly, doesn't say much.
I came back to this board (which I originally joined because "Yuuki" asked me to switch my characters from Shiva to Quetzalcoatl so we could play together but then I didn't end up playing here because the fun of FFXI for me towards the end was my linkshell and once on another server I didn't really have much interest in logging in especially as Yuuki was going totally batshit crazy with the Japanese obsession) after a friend in game told me that "Yuuki" was making a total ass of himself on here by pretending to be Japanese, so I read, silently for a while now, cringing and holding back any sort of reply because I thought, hey, if everyone's falling for it, who am I to disturb the circus show. It's none of my business after all, but then again, since "Yuuki" did make me switch servers to here, I'm as much a part of the community as anyone so I felt the need to contribute, since I'm probably the only one who actually knows him in real life. Yes I hate his guts and think he's a total imbecile, and yes that has everything to do with me posting this. Just to clarify since people might say "oh she's just posting this cause she's bitter". I am totally bitter- I was a great friend, he was a selfish asshole, and I have no problems coming on a community he forced me to join and tell him he's being retarded. Maybe it'll help him. Probably not. I don't really care.
By the way, Yuuki is also not this person's real name (his real name is as American as it gets but I won't say it here because if he wanted people to know it he would've shared it), so don't bother trying to figure out if it's male or female because it means nothing either way- it's not his name. For the reference, Yuki means snow and is a female name, Yuuki is the male version of the name, though some guys are named Yuki anyway. And yes that picture you guys posted is his picture. One final thought regarding his whole "gay pride" diatribe is that when he used to be my friend and we hung out, he constantly asked me if things "made him look gay" because he didn't want to be a "fag". Hypocrite is right. People like this shouldn't even have a right to open their mouths. I can't stand liars, I can't stand hypocrites.
For the record, I am white and French/American (btw, "Yuuki", the little bit of French you used on this board is wrong and makes no sense so stop trying to think you speak French also because you don't), and I currently live in Tokyo, Japan. I moved here recently after spending the summer here actually getting to know the country and the culture, and you'll never hear me try to speak FOR the Japanese or pretend like I should go on rants about their culture because no matter how long I'm here for, I will never have that right- thinking I do would be arrogant, ignorant, and fucking retarded. I happen to like the country, its culture, the Tokyo community and the opportunities it has offered me, and think it's really sad that someone has taken it upon themselves to pretend to know anything about Japan (when they don't) and then basically proceed to make its people look bad by being an ignorant douche on internet forums. If you really liked Japan, Yuuki, you wouldn't pretend to represent it because you're making everyone hate you by your bigotry and disrespect. You're doing about as much for Japan as Chris Crocker is doing for homosexuality. You think you're promoting it, but all you're doing is making people think you're nuts.
PS: I can type Tokyo in Kanji (東京 ) from my All-American Macbook that I bought in California before I moved to (gasp) Tokyo also. You install Japanese language tools, use Microsoft IME, then type a word with normal letters and it makes it in Japanese for you- hiragana, katakana, or kanji.
