Leaveing a party as you do not like a job in it

You can be very picky on BRD, when you're getting spammed invites.
However, if you accept an invite, which I assume you did, then disband because you didn't like the setup, you're an ass.

On BRD I usually don't care what the setup is, but from leveling 60-70 I've actually preferred PLD tanks, they give me something to do. Even when I'm pulling with elegy + casting requiem + 2x melee songs + 2x mage songs + curing tank it gets a little boring.

At 75 though, cannon onry. I want merits fast x:

YOU THINK I'M BORING?

gonna go cry in the corner now brb

Seriously, a lvl 66ish brd should be able to keep atleast 1 ballad on his whm. (Speaking as a whm who has lvl'd with your princess brd) Also, a brd even after giving a 30 minute warning should atleast give the commom courtesy of NOT warping out during the middle of a fight.

Reputation follows you no matter what job you are playing as or xping with.

YES, THAT IS WHAT I WAS IMPLYING

Go level your NIN D:

May have been stated or not, but during my Barding career I've partied with plenty of Paladins and thief setups. IMO, if you say "no paladings or thieves" you're a fucking idiot. Some of my best parties have been set up with paladins and thieves. There are some nights where I had a headache and wouldn't want to party with a paladin/thief setup, and I would ask the leader the setup before joining. I wouldn't make a big deal about it, just politely say no thanks. This didn't happen on a regular basis though, and I didn't just discount paladin/thief setups because they had lower dot or whatever. I would discount them because they are more work, and I didn't feel like putting that effort in to the party on that specific day. But to say you're never going to party with a paladin or a thief, I say fuck you. You don't deserve to level bard.

i would of loved to lv with a pld :( but when 0 pld looking and 4 nins etc i go for the nins

did you really warp in the middle of a fight though? Thats pretty shitty if you did, youd be better off leaving early rather then waiting untill you have to go and just warping.

i had work i had to go

didn't read this thread, but responding to the first post.

THF's can actually be very good DD's. They do low DoT, they're more of a spike job. Either way, their overall damage over the course of an entire battle is usually just as high as any other job.

So yes, I think its wrong to tell another job to leave because you don't like it.

Lol still leave a fight early or something dont leave your pt hanging.

Another thing has occured to me about this. You have basically ensured that no thf that ever hears about this will ever help you. While im sure there would be some thf desperate to jion a hnmls with you in it somewhere theres a pretty good chance that many if not all thf on the server should this info spread around will refuse to be in the same party/alliance as you as well. Now i understand that Th2 isnt completely godlike in escelating droprate but its gonna be enough of an inconvenience to any endgame group that you join to lose them quite possibly millions over the course of a month or 3.
Add in stuff like anything with a low droprate that you will personally want like maybe af keys for another job ect and outside of being a lucky bastard youre gonna take twice as long to get help at teh very least not even thinking about the drop rate.

Theres a lot worse jobs to ask to be removed from the party than thief. Besides, I don't see Dark Knights and Bards shooting status bolts on pulls. Yes, durrrrrr, I know Bards can't. That was the point.

HEY!! I pull on Drk for a static Im in and used acid bolts all the way to 63 (bomb core, I pull with darts now).

To some up the original post, what I see is that you are just being snobby and don't feel like learning how to sing with a thf. It's not that hard, provided the Thf only moves behind the tank for sata. Also, that great 3 Drg party you mentioned? Yeah, Thfs get the same bonuses on winged things that Drgs do, FYI.

yup it's a peircing weapon bonus so rng also gets a nice bonus. I've had great partys against birds with multiple thfs puting TA on one and having a thf tank. of course it forces me to sub nin but lots of fun and pretty good exp.

i rarely flg now days i get alot of invites not flg (lolbrd)
if there is a THF in party i will normaly ask if thf can go as i kinda do not like thfs they suck at DDinga DRK/THF is better easy and all they can do expect try DD is pull what i can do fine.
And thfs run alot and move into my ballads etc making there DD even worst as i ballad a pld at 9.9 etc and they go behind at 9.7 and get ballad 1 2
so you think its right to leave a party if you do not like the job(s) in it?

One more time you get -1 point for me.

1st I start to think that you have choosen Bard job just to be able to lvl it fast, and not because you liked it. So this way you will never be a top bard but just a average bard or maybe less.

2nd You have a snobish atitude I have seen from a lot of people in this game. I remember as a monk I had to make my partys from lvl 30 to 72. So I had a lot of problem getting refresher! They were always argueing on the setup and on the party, on the jobs .. etc. Sorry I know not every refresher is like this but must admit a lot are (or were). what I learn is you can make xp with everyjobs as long as the player knows what to do. I did canon with Dark/nin and was pretty good.

3rd I hope you will never have to lvl a hard job to get invite again!!! Now my monk job is most wanted it seems, it got back to be loved by people in XP, but lol when I was lvling it, it was very hard. If you start lvling another job Kire I hope you get some people to not invite you just because you choosed this job. And if it is a job you like as much as I loved my monk job you will see how much painfull it is to not beeing able to get a party.

4th I don't know any job wich should not deserve to get an invite. Thf can be really impressive and I can say I have seen a lot of thief making a lot of damages from lvl 30-70. Maybe after that other jobs benefit more from some equipements.

5th leaving party in a middle of fight is just unacceptable. If they didn't replace you maybe it was because they didn't find replace. So better than leaving during a fight you wait for the end of fight and disband at this time.

6th stop the lies: You said livvy that you had to help you BF (weird is it?) to do some SC points, now you say you had to work... everyone will be abble to judge that.

7th you will remain on my blacklist because everything you post on people is not acceptable. what make people better is that the struggled to lvl their jobs. Took some time to get the best equipement, Farm for it, work hard and harder. Bard is not just lending some few songs to people in your party. Bard should be the one who organize, and teach other people how to place themselves, but it seems you are too snoobish for that!

once again you failed for me!

Some people (like I) play Bard because we enjoy it.

What is there to enjoy? Just a curious question. Although I like the idea of staying in party for most of the time and getting dragged to most if not all events/battles, what else is there?

Maybe, deep down, all Bards are really pacifists in real life!
