lol can you believe there are ppl paying over $2000 for a playstation 3 console on ebay.so how many here was able to snag the new sony console?

if can't get it today.. just wait couple of months for lesser bug and maybe cheaper console
 
lol i just got home not too long ago with mine

me and my lil bro got one each. since xbox 360s peaked at 10k(you know youve played ffxi too like when you refer to RL thing in terms of "k") last year 5 days before x-mas, were gonna keep one, and ebay the other... so yeah. guess what im gonna go do now...

All the PS3 launch titles blow, so only the fanboys really give a fuck about getting their precious, buggy, piece of shit next-gen system. Besides, I want a fuckin' Wii.
 
The only thing the ps3 has contributed worthwhile are the funny E3 press conference snippets. I still laugh when I think about giant enemy crabs and real-time weapon change. I was thinking earlier today about launch titles for the game and after Resistance I honestly couldn't think of another one, and I'm a guy whose job revolves around video games. Oh well.

"k" representing thousands is... normal. It stands Kilo, a measurement of Thousands. Jesus Christ, just like the person whos friend didn't know what AFK meant so they assumed it was an FFXI-only term... log off the game and realize that terms used on it aren't exclusive to it.

"zomg lol it's from too much ffxi" is probably my newest pet peeve over "gears" and "gils"
 
I can not see why people would pay that much for a system that can not run FFXI yet. A friend of mine works at one of the gaming stores and is going to put one on the side for me. Just so I can say I have one lol but still it does not play FFXI the best game ever yet. With the Xbox360 I am waiting until I can go to any store like Best Buy or Costco and pick one up. Oh wait thats like now lol guess I need to go buy my Xbox360 now lol na I just to lazzy maybe I will get it later.
 
i just read on yahoo that a guy from britain just shelled out 15k for one on ebay.thats real sad.but im with leggo id rather get the wii.zelda:twilight princess FTW.
 
We're in America. Never underestimate the power of stupid people in numbers. If the PS3 has done one thing, it has been a good wealth redistribution hub. People that have too much of it, are paying people that don't have enough of it.
 
man i really hope this doesnt happen with the nintendo wii.
 
Nintendo Wii is Last Gen, nothing to this degree will happen. Although E-Bay auctions will inflate the price a bit...
 
There's also going to be a shitload of Wii's around, so it'll will be much less likely to happen. The only reason PS3 is going for so much is because of the piss poor numbers that are being launched with.

I still say that's a marketting strategy (though I think they took it a bit more than they should have) :P they are increasing demand it seems, those who are really waiting for a PS3 aren't going to spend their money on another system prolly and just wait for the next system, I don't see sony really losing money as much as not getting as much right off the bat. They did this with the PS2, remember? Very little were shipped first wave increasing demand and whatnot and then they increased supply with the next few waves. Perhaps they're doing it again but with an "Extreme" less amount for the number of units shipped in the first wave :P

and Odon, you could prolly keep one and still make money just selling the other XD you greedy taru you

lol doubt they'll be making much money at all from this. They are putting a huge demand on their product but it will be a while if they make any money after production costs.
 
each system costs roughly $850 @ production
