BLM/RDM gets really good post 30, because of Fast Cast. In my opinion, that's one of the best job traits in the game. But I really wanna know which WHM subjob would be better for me.
I like WHM/BLM for Warp and some debuffs and nukes.
I like WHM/RDM for Fast Cast and other stuff like Dispel.
I like WHM/SMN for wicked MP, Refresh, and summons.

From what my high lvl friends told me (yes i have friends ^^) they said that whm/smn would be best for pts cause of the sweet mp. But it all depends on you tho and what sub you like, as for me i'm taking Blm, Rdm, and Smn to 37 then once i get the cash, i'll take nin to 37 for fun ;p

Whm/Nin. I've seen someone wondering around as that. Looks fun. However my war and drg are retired till I level nin up. Not looking forward to yag necklace hunting.

Whm/blm and whm/smn are really about the same in terms of MP use. You'll get around 30-60 more mp difference between the subs are 75 (it's 39 difference with mithra, changes per race). You never really notice conserve MP kicking in, but it helps about as much as the auto-refresh will while you're not resting. While you're resting, you'll get a little extra mp, which does add up fairly quickly. The only summon you'd ever use is garuda for blinkga and occasionally carby for pulling.

Fast cast is useless for whm for the most part. 99.9% of the time, you don't need it and you're missing out on more important job traits, and the extra mp, by subbing rdm waiting for that 0.1%. You'll likely always be partying with a rdm/brd, so you having dispel is almost pointless.

Trust me, I've noticed Conserve MP on many accounts. I don't know if this has ever happened to anyone else before, but it cut down my Warp to 9 MP once.
WHM/SMN would be wicked once I got Noble's or Aristocrat's. 2mp/tick. That's as good as Ballad. Bajaratt said something about RDM or BRD. I still say RDM/BRD is a wicked combo. My buddy Aceoffire did that in a party once, and he was great with it. 4mp/tick at like Lv50. Talk about wicked. Seeing that with Auto-Refresh and Noble's Tunic, you're looking at like 6 MP per tick. No downtime at all.

A friend of mine does that, she tears shit up. Those hammers are actually pretty awsome.
