Libara

ok this isnt about me, its about Libara, when all you do is change the subject in each thread.

People level multiple subjobs to increase thier value to a party, and increase thier invites also.

By choosing to have 1 available subjob, Libara chooses to remain LOW VALUE, his value to an xp party is diminished and thus gets less invites.

You ask how he got to 75, with alot of patience and seeking id imagine, and i wonder how often someone who "doesn't want to main heal" attempted to fill that role even with /rdm under the guise that he could do so. And how many times party member were left for dead, ninjas left silenced, or unerased?

The real discussion should be, why is this the first flame?

Nah as he's most likely from the UK. Other Europeans are usually far better at using the English language.
and cooking food, art, wine, and everything else besides war and drinking.

well if he wasnt good at his job, he wouldnt be able to get to the lvl he is at.... and just because 5 people have said hes bad at his job, doesnt mean the rest of the server would.

It's called soloing, and smn is one of those jobs that can solo up to 75 I can imagine. It may be slow but yeah given time and patience I'm sure anyone can do it.

Just because 5 people said he's bad at his job? 5 people's say who did party with him would give me a pretty good idea to saty the hell away from him when it comes to pt'ing.
Maybe not everyone would think like that but you never know.

This server I think is one of the smaller servers where eventually you'll meet the same people eventually again and again whether for social or endgame linkshells. Reputation can become a factor as a player and how successful you want to be in this game. Sometimes you won't be able to get into a sky shell or dynamis shell unless someone vouches for you.

Ya, like me. :spiteful:

@Gadwin: GTFO, take Libara with you and play WOW. Lvl 75 or whatever means nothing about your skills and your qualification for teamwork etc.

lol, did you notice how gadwin first defended his friend Lib and then started to make fun of him? :P
And yes you can get to 75 and still suck ass.

wow, that was actually convincing lol. oh and cos means because just in shortened.

but how do you think Libara got to 74 smn with rdm sub? maybe cos (hehe) hes got at his job? or just been lucky all the time.....

The unfortunate truth is, he may have been invited under the assumption he'd try to play healer of some sort. Too many people are afraid of kicking a party member or leaving a party and saying "I'm sorry, this just isn't working out".

Many people also give the benefit of the doubt and wouldn't not-invite someone based on a post regarding them possibly being bad, especially since they may have gotten better since the post about them being 'bad' was posted.

SMN is one of those jobs that take a lot of skill to pull off properly. They can't cure quite as well as WHM, nor are any of their buffs groundbreaking, but if the two are combined they can, for the most part, be worth the spot they take. The problem with this is that if they can't balance their abilities as well as main/backup heal, they're not doing near as much as they should be. SMN doesn't really have much to do for their job as it is, and really the only challenge is figuring out when to use a BP or when -not- to, because a lot of the time another buff tossed up may just not be worth the MP cost.

SMN/RDM could work, just, not nearly as well as WHM in any way. /RDM being only good for the same things as /WHM but considerably less is just a way of the person weaseling out of possibly having more duties on them...when SMN don't get all that many duties to begin with. =/

Now he's gonna be stuck wasting 10seconds summoning Leviathan to do Spring Water to cure an status effects on the party because he can't access -na spells, in addition to the fact that taking 10s to cure a status effect is incredibly slow as is. If he were /WHM he could've tossed the -na effect in 1sec, thrown up Titan and given the entire party a ~200hp Stoneskin, and done all of that for roughly same MP cost.

I've never partied with the person, so I dunno if he's really bad or not. Though I do highly recommend he try getting WHM to 37, it'll make his job a lot easier. It may be slightly more expensive than /RDM, but being able to access -na spells, Erase, and the Teleport(<3) spells can be incredibly beneficial to the party and himself.
