It's been pretty good for me (other than as Zalt can tell you, I've been having to chase a whole lotta tails for my shells, especially the first week after merge; I might STILL have to do it for CurseTheYagudo stragglers since some of our folks don't log on often and it took us a week to rebuild the shell b/c no one could get a shell that first week.) other than one little thing.
Mind, I haven't seen this happen since I first started playing, and was when I was in my starter RSE, poking things to death very slowly, but...
...I had a donk try to hit on me. Very blatantly, I might add.
Mind, I never look for a BF in game. I'd rather get a BF, then get him into FFXI. Not the other way around. So that's red flag for me if you're asking me for dates/hitting on my kitteh in a serious fashion. (At least one of my friends can get away with it, but then I know it's rp/joking there) I ended up blisting him. First time I've EVER had to do that. (Spammers and player run casinos don't count, even tho I blist those). IMO, anyone who hits on my chara needs to get a life. So I don't tolerate that unless you're joshing w/me and I know the person well enough to know if they are kidding. ^^ (I'm surprised I haven't had anyone hit on the kitteh much before though. Maybe it's the fact my chara's in frumpy mage robes or everyone thinks I'm a guy. Dunno!)
I've had it lucky with Campaign so far but then I've never been hardcore with that, I mainly use it to keep my 75 jobs capped. Tho yes, it's crowded and yes, they're shorter, so I have to be faster getting there or I won't get much xp. I do NOT want to do xarc again though :nono:; not after that dragon that pounced me made it so I had to campaign twice as long just to recap whm!
Also all the name changes have been giving me a very bad headache; I'm horrible with names of people I don't know well and half my dyn shell had to change their names. Not. Funny. I've been all  for the moment, but I'm sure I'll get used to it.
The upper jueno bazaar mall took some getting used to. Anyway to sum it up; most people I've met have been pretty nice, so I don't have much to complain about other than name changes and having to chase down way too many people lately. (Had to chase a doesn't-log-on-much member of CTY yesterday as a matter of fact so I could get him to Nimbex for a pearl. Said person had to change his name, blah. I did get him oriented as best I could though.)
