Now I can get to work on a "silent movie" version with English subtitles and no dubbing, plus Japanese, Spanish, German, and Norwegian subtitles!

YouTube - Final Fantasy XI fan movie trailer

alternate version of the trailer:

Shadow Lord Teaser (blah YT butchered the sound quality)

BG thread full of criticism

People seem to either love it or hate it, but it was a long process and I'm thankful to be done!

Thanks to Quetz for all the years of letting me run around and get footage for it, after all.

Ah so that was you? Still waiting to premiere it at fanfest?

I know you've been working on this a long time, I think it turned out well, good job^^

Very cool stuff!

oh wow, that is neat as hell~

Nice trailer. It's amazing how bitchy all of the people on bg are. Some people are just impossible to please.

Really neat. I liked it :)

That was really cool, you should be proud.

When it comes to stuff like that, I don't often critique. Usually what happens is the person says "Let's see you do better" and all I can say is ".. No."

Awesome job. :P Better than anything I could possibly think of, let alone sit down and do for a long time. Good luck with getting it aired at fanfest!

Ara!!!!!!!!!! Good job hun, can't wait to see the whole thing. You always mentioned working on something like this but I didn't realize the scale. 2 years making a fan movie is a big undertaking.

shit made me laugh.

good work

pretty neat! The voice acting isn't as bad as what I read from comments either lol good job

This is awesome sauce!

Is there going to be a way to watch this?

Yea, this is definitely really interesting. The voice acting seems a bit devoid of emotions at times, but overall its really good. Looks like you put a lot of effort into it, and I definitely look forward to watching this movie. Definite thumbs up from me.

This does look very good indeed!
So when can we expect to see the release of the full dubbed version? Can't wait!

(kind of a necrobump, but rather do this than make a whole new thread for some more "good times")

The Limit Break Radio team was kind enough to interview me about the movie project at FanFest!

http://www.limitbreakradio.com/listen.html#ff08

2:13:00 segment begins
2:33:53 segment ends

And of course the full four hours is a great overview of FanFest 2008.
Still no official word from SE yet, so no release.
