Mayhaps
A: It's the user's name on the US boards, or
B: It's someone relaying the message to the US boards.
Regardless, it's one (three) weeks. Sure, they could've patched it, but they probably didn't want people who stayed offline (who does that?) to keep the song. Cool, whatever.
I'm glad I wasn't too excited about this game lol.
I can see why not just Muslim, but all Arabic speaking people would react to this, one way or another to say the least. ( If it were in English, i'm sure we'd have a few complaints while others would simply ignore or laugh it off while saying "WTF?") . Even though that language doesn't matter to most of us, it's better to deliver LBP with good taste for all.
Ninja Edit: On a side note, the quotes in question, are true, and the tune itself is very catchy. I think if Sony left it on the disc, it would have stirred some controversy in regards to what the developers are trying to say to us all.
i got this today. really fun game but the Kratos costume code doesnt work. It seems it wont work till Tuesday in the US. In case anyone is having the same problem. Props to EB/Gamestop for letting preorders there copies early.
Anyone know where you can grab the soundtrack for download or whatever? Gave it a shot last night and it was a fun game but I really liked some of the tunes
So, who else here made a rocket car for their very first object in create mode?
We should have a contest as to who can make the coolest machine, so far a friend and I have amde a giant wheel with a pod on the side, capable of goign from 0 to top speed in about 2 secs.
Next we're gonna make a copy of the AT~NT from star wars, but we'll need a 3rd person to man the thing =o
I made my first machine the other day. I made this thing using enlarged ninja stars as wheels and i used a 3 way switch to operate it for forward and backward mobility. It's not very large but too large to simply jump on, so in order to board the machine one needs to squeeze under it and then head towards the screen to jump up onto a side fin then into the drive area.
If i crank the motor bolts all the way to 60, the machine will flip out after a very fast burn out from the stars fingers banging the ground, so i set the speed to 15. It sounds cool as the stars are clicking away on the ground, it can also claw it's way up a pile of junk or numerous objects, it fly's like a monster truck on the first jump when i do that. This thing is a crazy tank
I put a hidden music box in it so when one person enters the drive area on the machine, you hear the track title Battles from Atlas.
(This song)
The music gives the machine more of a bad ass vibe, as it claws and literally destroys objects. (The Ninja stars are destructive, one can get hurt just by failing to board this thing properly) I set the music to start playing from half way so there is more of an ear full. It's also a rough ride too, so rough that it sometimes knocks the driver to halting the vehicle. Driving it in the dessert night with a construction cap equipped with the music and all, kinda reminds me of those little construction guys from Fraggle Rock. When it all comes together it's really humorous and it looks so real.
So yeah with a little more speed, or judging by the obstacles, the machine can sometimes get flipped over, so i made another version of it, this time with ninja stars above and below the body, having the drive area in the center of the rectangular shaped frame. So when it flips over, a sack person will be hanging from the drive switch, even when hanging from the switch, one can still drive the machine simply by leaning. The end result for these 2 models is a machine that will carry the party over hazards like fire and electricity (Although I've yet to make a fire pit, i feel this will have no problem driving through it, keeping the sack people safe, even when upside down and the sack person is hanging inches away from the ground)
The 2nd version had a slight problem when it got turned on it's nose or rear, it was nearly impossible to tip it back over, so i added a piece of metal to kinda stick out so it would always be tipped over, either on it's top or bottom. That also effected the physical feedback we get enduring game play, just the way it moved and flipped over was so different than before, cause the physics simulation noted which side of the machine is heavier. Sadly the 2nd machine can break. After a lot of abuse the extended frame that holds the upper star wheels can bust right off, funny enough i have a good solution for this, and I'll apply it next time.

It might sound cliche or fan-ish of me to say this (in a world where gamers are "programed" to bash Sony and their best consumers), but LBP is beyond sick, and compared to all the other crap developers have been serving us lately, this game sticks out like a sore thumb at every aspect, from game play to graphics ( Holy Moses the Graphics ). No blood and gore, yet the most fun stages are very death defying while being cute and funny. I was handling explosives in a cave in a party of 4, it was a great gaming experience and it felt rewarding when we succeeded in what turned out to be a real operation, after restarting the stage for the 4th time. Basic control + skill is back on top, with collaborative efforts this time, the music is superb, and even that can be tweaked to any stage or creation to make the game feel better.
It's mostly good clean fun, the God of War stage, goes to show how twisted one can make the games content out to be. Even the power to upset people is in your hands in this outstanding piece of work.
I really need to be more careful too. I have a 10 hour shift in 3 and a half hours from now.
A friend ad I made an awesome wheel of death, involving a giant rubber wheel with like 20 rockets attached to the inside. The wheel itself is 1 unit thick, in the centre plane, on the back and front we hung two metal platform things suspended via rods.
They're so heavy that even at top speed the wheel only flips them a bit. I then added 4 chairs of foam to the platforms, one of which equipped with a grab switch that operates the thing.
I also built a pretty sweet level involving a spiral through a huge wheel (the thing takes up 1/3 of the building space)
The entire time you work your way through the wheel, the thing spins and you gotta use gravity to get through.
IE at one point the ground is covered in unsurpassable spikes, so you hold onto a sponge for a few seconds, and suddenly he floor is now the roof, and you can pass under the spikes.
Took me 2 days to make. It's called Gravity Well, has a pick of a downwards yellow arrow, add me on psn and you can play it.
Now I'm working on a 5 part series of level which involve turning your sackperson into a mage, and at the end you use your newfound skills to take on a boss.
Once again, if you wanna try em add me on psn, lionhart180, or rokr424 for the wheel of death, lol. (made it on his account, not mine)
Those sound really interesting Urat, I'm so gonna hit you up most likely tomorrow evening when i get home. Just finished playing online with Drew and I'm about to pass out for work in the morning. I wish i had more leisure hours, I still feel like playing.
I checked out more options today and in create mode i found it easier to perfect things when the camera is set to forward mode, while using a medium grid when manifesting materials. Only thing is you might want to set the thickness of your foundation in the other camera mode before making a perfect whateveryourmakin.
