lol@progeny

Brilliant point there at the end. We're going to follow this guy around and make his life a living hell. Great deduction there Sherlock Hexx. We wont follow him it's as simple as going over to BG and posting the accounts of what happened so people know to avoid this moron.

No shit sherlock, but the way some of you put it, you come off quite stalkerish, to quote one of your previous posts when you responded to Rukia:

You realize we'll find out eventually right?

If that aint stalkerish behavior, I don't know what is dude.

This isn't the first time he's been made a fool.

At BG they know him for being a huge idiot because of King Vinegarroon drama. Aeil wanted the helm and threw a fit about not being eligible to cast lots. Keep in mind, at the time he was a co leader and held all their sky pops and 3m in currency.

When Shaj said he couldn't lot and Aeil threw his big fit, Shaj kicked him from the LS. After kicking him, and get this, he expected Aeil to return the currency and pop items. That makes Shaj pretty stupid.

That's why I brought up the background checks. Now he has reference at QCDN and BG. At QCDN we know him for sniping zones. That makes Shaj quite the asshole.

Combine the two and you get one stupid asshole.

I think his tracks are covered if he applies to any notable shell or anyone recruiting has half a brain to do a back ground check.

He shouted he was quitting and assumed the thread would be locked, but I guess since Uptempo mentioned he's not really quitting. Well then, hahhh...thread's open.

The guy will get his, rarely do people want to be part of a startup shell, most would rather join one that has been/is running for a while and runs like a well oiled machine. Funny how some of you keep avoiding the subject of your efforts being all for naught if he changes his name after jumping servers.

I mean hell, out of all of you, only Dowzer and JP bring up valid arguments.

You may be able to change your name, however you can't change your character model, and most server transfers don't change their overall attitude, whether its good or bad.

If you were a liar on your previous server and told everyone you were narcoleptic, chances are you'll be a liar on your new server, telling people you've tanked monsters you've never even seen on a job that you've only had leveled for 2 weeks. If you couldn't put two sentences together properly on your previous server, chances are you won't be able to on your new server. If you were an arrogant fucking asswipe on your previous server, chances are you'll be an arrogant fucking asswipe on your new server. Not to mention a lot of people eventually spill the beans anyway.

In any case, Shaj posts player warnings on BG for anyone who farts two zones away from him. I'm sure he understands how they work. If he's really committed to changing his behaviors for a positive gaming environment, he should have the tools to do it. If he isn't, he will be found out.

Someone who he has wronged is well within their rights to post a warning. If he lays low and has changed his name, it won't matter. But if he's up to the same stuff, it should be no trouble for people on his new server to identify him and instead of giving him a second chance, maybe they'll just give him the boot.

You earn your reputation, positive or negative. Once you've earned a negative reputation, it can be difficult as hell to change it, which is as it should be. Otherwise people wouldn't learn from their mistakes.

You don't find Zyn's argument valid at all? I really think you're expecting some of us to head to BG and f5 his account to see where he's posting so we can troll him. I think that's clearly not what anyone is going to do.

In fact, the people on the side of giving the warning aren't out on a witch hunt desperately trying to find his new server so they can rat him out. But if someone does find out which server he's going to hop to and BG has a background check on him I don't think it's a bad idea to mention what crap the Quetz server has gone through with him...do you?

I think you're over-analyzing the opposite side of the argument. You seem to be under the assumption that all of us who think people should know what Shaj did are flying to every known FFXI source ready to post trash about him to tarnish his name. That assumption I think is making it seem to some of us that you believe that everyone should just forget what he's done and move on. One thing to remember though, other people who visit BG know about QCDN and we have roughly 600 visitors a day so it makes sense for someone to be able to look up easily.

tl;dr section - None of us are going to start nerding out trying to find out which server Shaj went to. All we're saying is that if it's brought up, a friendly warning would be the best thing we can do for someone on the server he goes to.

Pffft. Screw that.
