It's still fkng nice. Interested in seeing this proc on a WS.

Three hits with Spinning Slash?

...

Oh, and Peregrine, you forget one thing about Dark Knights.

a DRK/THF is the only melee DD combo in the entire game that has NOT ONE SINGLE ABILITY that can help it build TP.

NONE.

Why the fuck aren't you getting your tighty-whities in a bunch over Indra Katars than Peregrine.

OH NO! MONKS GET +1% TRIPLE ATTACK! BITCHBITCHBIIIIIIIIIITCH

Bleh, it's not like we're disenfranchised or anything - but this GS is nice as hell.

Yes, a three hit SS or GS would be interesting - SS may come off better with this sword though should a triple hit proc.

I don't think he's bitching atm tbh - but then again I'm not really paying attention.

Yeah, GS would be nerfed. TP damage modifiers only count for the first hit of a WS, no subsequent hits... so a three hit GS would be like one 300% and then two 100%'s. SS would be a lot better in that case.

/disturbed

Good thing Great Sword only has one multi hit WS... and it's still only 2 hits... lol

basically

and I'd never use this with a multihit - too low frequency.

Anyhow - it's not like this would make me play drk any more than I already do (not a lot at all). Any fight where I can use my GS or Scythe lasts for like 5 fkn minutes anyways so I almost never use drk anymore.

Nobody cares about triple attack on a monk. Greatsword hits are 3x more powerful than yours is. Their weaponskills are low-hit. They gain three times the TP per hit.

You can't champion the significance of one strength point via a parser that runs for 25 hours and then turn around and claim that this isn't a pretty damn broken greatsword. Over time, this sword does to a drk and war what triple attack does to a thief.

Drk/thf with triple attack. Again, what's next. Thf with an 85 damage dagger?

While it's a fan-fucking-tastic weapon, I don't think it tips the scale too far in the war/pld/drk direction.

The TP gain if triple procs is creamy. The damage dealt if triple procs is creamy. But this weapon is far less broken than Ridill, which thf can use (albeit not very well).

I would bet some insignificant amount of money that a thf with anything good mainhanded and ridill offhanded would beat a war/pld with Algol (drk being the obvious exception; I just imagine Souleater » Spinning Slash with 3 hits).

Algol and Ridill aren't in the same leagues. Algol will be what you give to your whms come year-end.

That is, literally, like giving thieves a dagger with a latent effect of 85 damage on the weaponskill.

Oh, by the way, you DO know how Sneak Attack and Trick Attack work right?

No, they aren't - that's somewhat the point I was pushing.

Ridill is, by far, the most broken, overpowered weapon in the game. Thf can use it.

Algol is a pretty good weapon. Thf cannot use it.

Your job didn't get the shaft from SE releasing this, they simply gave war/pld/drk another toy. Did we need a toy? Nope. Did thf need a toy? I dunno, you tell me. Maybe they allocated unnecessary equipment to the wrong jobs, but that doesnt mean thf is getting the bone.

How many jobs in the game can use Double Attack? Every single one.

How many jobs in the game can use Triple Attack? You could probably count 'em on one hand (can't verify that, game sites blocked at work).

I know exactly what it feels like to have one of your job's most bitchin' attributes handed freely to other jobs that dont need it, and speaking from both sides of the fence: this gs ain't all that. I get some pretty shitty options for great swords, and though this is probably the best I could get, I'm not gonna offer my ligaments / future children to be allowed to lot it. Ridill, on the other hand...

DMG severely limits both on a thief. Always has, always will. Give thieves a high-dmg weapon and see what happens. It'd probably be like watching a drk spinning slash, triple attack, then spinning slash again, getting 50 tp in a single series while doing 300+ damage. Happens 3% of the time? 3% of the time the sword is flat-busted.

Again, triple attacks on a high-delay, high damage weapon=wtf. They hit 3 times harder, and get 3 times the tp back per hit. When we triple attack, we get the net effect of one of their hits. When they triple attack, they get the net affect of 9 of our hits. Nine.

That's bullshit.

just cause it dropped for SOME servers (tcheck blue gartr again.. hardly every server got it) on the first kill... doesn't mean it'll drop THAT much

no drk or war uses great weapons in xp pts anyways who cares well i guess they can but they aint getting in no cannon pt.

Sneak attack and Trick attack add your DEX and AGI, respectively, to your weapon's DMG: rating for the hit. Just a heads up.

THF main onry though of course.

Well. I should qualify that that's what I've read from more than one independant source, and that's what testing seems to indicate.
