lolTomBrady

Without Brady, I believe the Jets or Bills will now take the East. The Jets would have won by alot more today if they didn't lose there Field Goal/PA kicker.

Looks to be like a Torn ACL for Brady which means he would be out for the year. The only positive of this is, he would be healthy by pre-season next year.

Pats are bringing in Simms to back up Cassel it seems.

I'm sorry Shyrra. I know the feeling. My team has lost Deuce twice to torn ACL :(

The dolphins are gonna take the east.

As for tom brady.... lol.. thats what he gets for missing the preseason, couldnt take a hit

thought you were crazy after the first statement..after the second..i thought..you were out of your mind..take a 250-350 pound guy falling with his shoulder on your knee and see if alittle pre season helps you...knee shots always make me alittle scared for any player

I thought I saw his helmet hit the knee which makes it even worse I think...

very possible, i only saw it two times. either way..the knee doesnt give too well aside from the back of it. his season is basically over..just hope he can recover in the long run..depending on how bad it is..knee shots are no joke

As a football player myself and also one who has need on the receiving end of a tore ACL MCL and meniscus all at the same time I have very little pity for him as a preson because he is just an asshole but as a player I have to feel sorry for him because after you mess up your knee its never the same again your fucked for life

This is a bit off topic, but if they hadnt lost their placekicker they mightve actually lost, Recall: Favres 4th and 13 touchdown pass, where they had to go for it? That was the only time they went for it without their Kicker.

Back on topic:

On a serious note, I had a knee injury playing football, Torn ACl and destroyed both Mesnicus, i had a complete tear so i had to replace the ligamenet (Dead person's), and my knee is still not the same, granted i dont have the kind of medical attention Tom Brady will, but its one of the toughest injuries to overcome, and even if he is Tom Brady, it will be in the back of his mind if/when he does return.

Damn, I've never seen Shyrra so fired up haha.

I don't like Tom Brady because...well...he's good. Same reason I hate Peyton Manning. Same reason everyone outside of Pittsburgh hates Sidney Crosby. A-Rod. Jeter. Kobe. I could go on for days.

The Jets won me a C-note today, so all I can say is J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!

Oh, and Steelers 16-0, of course.

Airou is right very seldom can a player come back as good and as strong from a major knee injury. I know when it happened to me it was always in the back of my head and I ended up making a few stupid decisions on trying to protect my knee rather than going all out on the field and to this day I regret it, I went from the most explosive player on the team to normal I mean in the chutes I was undefeated until my knee injury then I was to busy making sure my bad knee didn't get caught up in the metal of the chutes to be able to go all out

Wow that's a pretty long legit sentence lol. .

i was waiting for this thread. my boss at work is a bit jets fan. now i work at a sports bar so im hearing cheers and boos all the time. After an exceptionally loud and long amount of cheering my boss comes into the kitchen with a smile on her face. "Tom Brady is out for the season." she says with a laugh and goes into the office. i personally have nothing against Brady, but i too love harping on pats fans. :P

good luck this season guys. you're gonna need it.

Romo throws for 320 yards.

Brady throws for 76 yards.

Romo has bloody chin.

Brady has fucked up knee.

Long story short, Romo > Brady (Sorry Shyrra I had to do it).

Im a Cowboys fan and New England hater, so im all biased.

GOGO Cowboys.

Cassel isn't a bad QB though. He is actually a decent one, and this will give him more time and more game experience. Cassel graduated same year as me and went with me to HS, maybe thats why I am a bit more biased... haha.

Maybe the pats should get culpepper to unretire

If there's ANYTHING good that comes out of this, it's that it gave me an excuse to give myself to not go to class today. I'm mourning the loss of Tom Brady ; ;

Well, after a night of long hard thinking, I still believe the pats can win the division. It's gonna be really tough now, with the Jets and Bills as strong as they are.. but the Pats still have a ton of offensive weapons, and if Cassel can just protect the ball, the Pats running game is very solid this year. Maroney is ready to go, and Sammy Morris is one of the better backups in the league. (Emphasis on backup, because there are definitely better tandem backs) All that being said, the AFC east just got a LOT more interesting, lol.

One of the reasons I get fired up is because nothing is dumber to me than hating a player because he plays for another team and is good. I'm the biggest Red Sox fan you'll find, and I only hate Jeter as a Yankee, but I absolutely respect the hell out of him. You'll never catch me saying "I hate Derek Jeter," but of course will catch me saying "I hate the Yankees" lol. Not to mention, Tom Brady is my favorite football player. ; ; At least I still have Dustin Pedroia to soothe my broken heart.

Shyrra reminds me of T.O.

THAT'S MY QUARTERBACK MAN! ; ;

fuck T.O. he's an asshole cares only for himself

This is funny....

Bah anyone who rejoices in a players injury isn't much of a fan imo. His injury doesn't help the game. I'm a Colts fan, so I have a healthy respect and dislike for the Pats. I always wanted the Colts to play the Pats at full strength so there would be no excuses, no asterisks. Anything that makes the path to a Superbowl win easier also diminishes its importance.

The best part about the Colts winning the Superbowl for me was the AFC Championship game and beating the Patriots. That was the highlight of that season for me. My group of friends and I celebrated that win more than the win over the Bears. I could only imagine how anti-climatic it would have been had Brady been hurt before that game. I hope he heals quickly and completely.

Also, I've heard some say it was a dirty hit. IMO it was nowhere near dirty.

Pats will do fine w/o him and Tom Brady will finally be shown for what he truly is... Which is the biggest system QB in NFL history.
