Losing the grip on reality

Hey he sells it more power to him. Personally I don't think he can with current prices the way they are but hey, there is a sucker born every minute.

Because he sold the items hard working people farmed when he was kicked from Penance for CCing us with another ls.

So going by the agreement that was reached before i joined is wrong? Ok, thanks for clearing that up with me.

And to add to that when I was kicked for "CC" as you so put it, I wasn't even in the same zone, nor the same side of the world, I was in Cape Terrigan Hunting Sirrico Kukri with Scwall.

And to top it all off, when Odhinn kicked me his reason to the LS wasn't "He CC'd us!" As you like you say, but it was and I quote "I don't like him."

You know Deuce, there was a thread here about people bitching for not getting shit after they've been kicked, and that's true, after you are kicked or you leave a Linkshell you should expect nothing in return. But, the same, if you kick someone for no legit reason at all aside from "I don't like him." Then don't expect that person to be nice, understanding, and courteous about it. You don't like what happened with the items? Then go bitch to your "leader" Odhinn about it for throwing a fit after wiping to fafnir.

And as a sackholder/second in command of Penance put it.

The people that actually matter to that situation know the real deal, so shut your mouth idiot.

And for further proof here ya go.

"I don't know what actually happened, and more than one person says I'm wrong, so I'm just going to ignore the point yet continue to say what you did is wrong". Got it.

We read the same thing?

Wow, crib notes!

I know my pop items I farmed was sold, so fuck off.

Word of the day: Repercussion.
If you're gonna bullsh-!t someone, you can't whine if they bullsh-!t you back.

Term of the day: Collateral Damage.
It's ok if you inflict damage upon multiple targets as long as you hit the intended target.

So screwing out a whole group of people who worked together is ok just to get at a single person who did something petty? I'll have to remember that one for future reference.

Lavi, I know you know that losing out on any possibly LS benefits after a lot of work isn't a petty matter. Please, please don't make me hafto bring up an example either, because I know of one all too well...

Moreso, I haven't really heard of anyone arguing against the decision of his getting booted (unless I missed a post or two). If they were for or indifferent to the action, then it's still their fault; the uninvolved members or ones who were against the kick only have the ones who supported the kick in the first place to blame.

It's not fair to the innocents of the LS that he went off with some stones, no, but it's unfair that he got unjustly booted and seemingly no one's visibly stood up for him, from what I've seen. In that retrospect there IS no innocents so the punishment is perfectly fair. And again, even if there are any innocents they only have the guilty party to blame.

So because no one stood up for him means they are all guilty by association? That's perfect logic...

And the guilty party is... the person who kicked or the person who stole?

It's not quite like that...best example I can think of is how the Good Samaritan Law works. The fact that they know something wrong is going on in their own group and they make no effort to fix it is what in part makes them guilty, in my opinion.

*small edit* It'd be my opinion that the one who kicked him is guilty, as the reason behind it was horrific/unjust. He also wound up losing any points he'd earned and any chance he currently had at items he may have been aiming for, so his loss was relatively great. That alone justifies his not returning the stones at least somewhat - the LS seeming to shrug off the wrongness of his being booted justifies it moreso.

Still, the members of any shell have no control of who is kicked and for what reason unless they are leadership. I understand Odhinn should have realized kicking him could possibly mean the loss of those pop items, but at the same time, is it acceptable to steal from a group of people simply because 1 person stole from you? As far as I am concerned, unless the action you take solely effects the intended targer, you're just causing collateral damage and it's completely unacceptable.

As far as the good samaritan law is concerned, you are mistaken on the actual law. You're thinking of Seinfeld in which they are all sued for watching as someone gets mugged in the street and is completely fictional. The actual law is a protection for those who render assistance to those in need. If the assistance they provide should cause harm unknowingly, they are free of prosecution from unintentional injury or death of the victim. The law you think you are suggesting is also very hard to consider when rendering assistance to those in need could possibly cause harm to the people attempting assistance. Ex: Someone stands up for Blaze, they too could possibly lose their standing and points within the shell. Yes, it seems wrong that they would just watch as it happens, but at the same time, why should they stand up for someone they may not know or like when it could result badly for them.

I don't watch Seinfeld, so I seriously dunno what you're referring to. XD

And a LS's sackholders should be co-leaders of sorts, but that doesn't mean their choices and word should be absolute, especially in cases like that. And if an LS would seriously penalize someone for standing up for another member or something, that's a REALLY sh-!tty shell...though I suppose there probably are some that do that. =\

If someone's gonna get away with kicking someone due to merely disliking them, then really nothing'd stop them from kicking someone in the future just to knock themselves or someone else up a notch on Haidate, Osode, or some other item since they'd obviously not need any excuse.

I see what you're getting at, just...eh...I just can't stand people being kicked out of LSes for stupid crap like that and the person doing such things getting away with it like it's no big deal. Because really, it is. And they shouldn't be immune to punishment/reprimand just because of their rank or some crap. Pretty sure that's the textbook definition of corrupt.

To add to the original post, this actually does bother me a bit. I understand that not all people can farm items, like O.Kotes, Emp Pins, etc., but when you start handing out items by direct sales, you are diminishing your own accomplishments. The day some noob (who very well could have bought gil online to get where he/she is), buys a haidate, shadow mantle, black belt, etc., you are saying that any idiot can get the items you have. When noobs start running around in elite gear that took you years to get, you're suggesting you're no different or superior to them. In fact, you're on equal standing to them. Your accomplishments can be made by any noob with a credit card and not someone who worked for it. While it is true, the player you are selling to may not be a gil buyer, lets face reality, the person most likely to hit up an offer like that probably is.

Yay for blatant, unwarranted and most of all wrong assumptions! Not surprised really.
