Just gotta remember you males out there, that when a females body usually changes the most, it is during/after pregnancy/childbirth. Don' know why but us carrying those babies, no matter what you do, always gives you hips if nothing else^^.
I weighed 89 lbs. all thru high school and while I went to college. I weighed 100 lbs. when I weighed in the first time I went to the doctor when I found out I was carrying Heather. I was 20 almost 21. By the time I went into delivery I weighed 155 lbs. I've been up and down since for 23 years now. I'd get back down to about 110 and then blimp back out again for some reason or another.
When I had my surgery in 1999, I controlled it for a tad, and I won't get into the specific details, but my doctor was able to save my ovaries (guys get really grossed out when females talk about this stuff, so I'm trying not to get too graphic). Anyway, I still had some problems so he ended up giving me Lupron shots (in the year 2001 they were 1500.00 per shot). A woman can only have 2 in her lifetime cuz they take a lot of bone marrow. A side effect of these shots is weight gain. Anyway, the first one wasn't so bad, but unfortunately I was the type of person who had to have 2 to get rid of the problem. The second one made me gain a lot of weight. Again, I wasn't obese or anything, but I got pretty chunky. Needless to say, I've been again goin' up and down on the damn weight.
Since I've joined WW's I've been really good and I don't cheat except to get pizza once every about 10 weeks. We almost got pizza this past Tuesday, but with Christmas we thought better of it. I'm also over 40 now, which doesn't help.
Steve cheats like crazy. It drives me totally nuts!!!! He still loses about 2-3 lbs. a week.
Needless to say, this is not a "diet" to me. It's totally changing my eating habits. I will never go back to eating sugar foods again, 2% milk, reg bread on a daily basis, or any type of fatty foods. When I have tasted them in the past 24 weeks, they are either too sweet, or if it's something greasy, my tummy can't take it and it starts hurting.
Lastly, I honestly feel better. More energy, yada yada. I feel joining WW's was probably the best thing I could ever do. I just wished I liked water more.
