I swear you'd think that manners just didn't even exist anymore.
To sum up the situation, I needed help to kill the Ground Strike NM in western altepa desert last night. I assembled a party, looked for friends who were available, but for the life of me couldn't find a white mage. Eventually I see Lyrai's name pop up - and remembered that she had seemed pretty nice. I politely ask her if she would help.
Lyrai>> There a reward involved in this?
Raivyn>> A Job well done? ^^;
Lyrai>> Well i've got stuff to do.
So I offer a reward. Whatever - time she could've spent farming - not a big deal. She asks what is involved and I tell her 'go to western altepa desert, go to E-9, pwn an NM, end of story'.
So after pt is all together we head out. I realize I made a mistake when she starts blaming others for no real problem. The party went two different directions, both were acceptable, and she freaks out when someone says 'you're goin the wrong way XD'. She accuses me of not telling her what we were doing, and I ignore her and say ' (Gather together) (Western Altepa Desert) E-9.
As she is en route she is bitching, I just tune her out because it's pointless to respond. We arrive at the ??? and start to build tp - all the while she is urging us to 'hurry up'.
My main beef is something that has been mentioned recently on these boards. Use of 'I know' and 'don't tell me how to do my job'.
I begin to highlight the fight real quick, mention skillchain, backup tank, etc. I then say 'NM does AOE paralyze so please watch out for it'. What response do I get for this...? "I know, I'm not new to this whm thing you know".
Lyrai - are you really so insecure that when someone highlights fight strategy you are offended?
I witheld her 20k until she talked to me about it today. At the end of our conversation I sent the money because she felt she deserved it. If I pay for help I expect to be able to ensure mission success. Wish I'd been more upfront about it.
Like I said Lyrai - I hope your shitty attitude works out for you, which I'm sure it will since you're a white mage. God knows I let it work for you. Fuck.
