Hi all 
I managed to take down Maat last night on my third Bstly attempt. First loss was a learning experience, second loss was a learning experience . . . in how to not be stoopid(sleep potions do you a lot of good when you're wearin a Royal Guard's Collar
).
Third attempt:
Waited for Maat to use Familiar(and he used it pretty much as soon as his beetle was out there), and I Rampaged it to death without takin more than a couple of licks. Ran out of hate range while Panzer kept him busy, popped an au lait, an X-Pot and an Icarus Wing, ran back close enough to Reward Panzer.
Maat calls his second pet(a tiger) and I Rampage it to death too. My first Panzer bites the dust and I throw a fresh one at the old man. His second tiger chews into me pretty good while I'm killin it(note to fellow Bsts: the paralyze from Roar can suck in this fight just as bad as it does anywhere else).
As I'm standing there debating whether or not to throw away X-Pots since Paralyze will probably eat them, Maat summons the dreaded Black Mandy, and Panzer starts to sink like a stone. Reward recast at 0:16 . . .
At this point, I take a calculated risk. I have >100 tp from killin that last tiger, so I nail him with Mistral Axe from across the arena, hopin that if it doesn't finish him, my pet will before he can reach me. He turns! Panzer clobbers him from behind with a crit, and . . . the old man throws in the towel.
Being a Bst, and knowing our propensity for random, totally unexpected death, I logged shortly thereafter before anything bad could happen
