Wow lol...when I fought Maat as taru brd he didn't use Asuran fists on me once. I lucked out lol.

You can blame me for this one. He was making up for the fact he didn't use that on me once. You ate my Asuran Fists..thanks a bunch
 
First time I fought him on PLD..

Him: Asuran Fists
Him: Hundred Fists
Me: Invincible
Invincible Wears off
Him: Asuran Fists

I only needed take off about 100 more HP and I would've won. The second time around he never even got Hundred Fists off and only used Asuran Fists once.

haha I remember when Maat did that to me XD I was so pissed off, why did he have Asuran Fists at level 67?

Anyways congrats on killing him with a Requiem =D You sure were lucky.
 
I remember Maat, Cure V was my friend...
 
all he did was Tackle me. i never saw assuran fists when i fought him on Mielikki. but then again i beat him in less then a minute and a half.
 
Haha thats brutal. I'd be pissed.
 
If you piss around too long in the fight (such as by taking forever and a day sleeping TP to 300%, and then not doing damage very fast after that), he basically goes into "I win mode" and starts spamming Asuran Fists back to back to back. But that's generally not an issue: most people either beat him, or are killed by him, long before the informal time limit comes into play. BRD is one of the more drawn-out Maat fights so I could see it happening there.
 
Its not the fact that he did asuran fists. Its the fact he did it 4 times in a row with no intruption >.<
 
Like I said. He goes into "I win mode" if you take too long, but most people/jobs either die in a more traditional way, or beat him, long before he does that.
 
As a 66 war I screwed up my macros and didnt get the self frag thats supposed to guarantee the win....

So I basically just wait for death to take me and then i get this message...

Maat uses Combo, but misses Motley....

I had already thrown my keyboard across the room, i had to run and get it to hit the raging rush for the win.

To the OP, that sucks, even if you take to long it shouldnt be like that
 
Incase ya guys didnt notice I wrote on the bottom that I won. I reraised up and he instantly conceded defeat once I got hit him with a new requiem.(I was planning to try and zombie the last bit if I had to. The message for the spell didnt even appear in chatlog until after he gaveup.)
The bastard regenned 10-13% hp and I still apparently had enough for the auto win before he did those 4 asuran. He's actually done that to me twice before only I didnt bother reraising immediately since weakened brd vs maat doesnt sound very safe.( I also didn't survive more than 3 asurans the first 2 times.)
 
the DOT you put on him probably put up at the required dmg, and he hit that number while you were dead
