Macro backup

Hello everyone!

Hope you can help me with this. I need to backup my macros, and I'm not too sure how to do it.

I know it's somewhere under PoL/SE/FFXI/User, but all the files are .dat, and I can't check whích is which.

Anyone know how to do this. Would be great to be able to back it up.

I think you just download the most recent one.

just download polulits and then go into macros when at home later i will put SS on at college right now

Playonline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\USER
there each folder represents 1 character.
mcr are the macros.
Copy and save it

Edit:- I would copy everything in each folder on User to keep settings and macro

Can also save it into POL database. Select character in FFXI, CTRL+SHFT+B to backup, CTRL+SHFT+R to retrieve it back (useful after formatting your PC).

I suppose that also works for swapping platforms... ? Like I play on PC and xbox360... Would be nice to not have to continually change two sets of macros.

The dat files can be opened in Notepad or Wordpad, and you can tell which macro is which. Not sure about distinguishing sets tho. Its good if u cant get on the game and u need to set some macros up. The tools that were listed might come in handy tho. dont Ctrl alt del or alt tab or they will revert to the last time you logged out properly. Its annoying
