WHM get Magic Def. Bonus for the fact that they're a job with a huge variety of protection spells. (Would you rather it be called Auto-Shell?)

Paladins are people who (as the stereotype says), as heroic figures who may battle hoardes of monsters, esp. undead (oh crap, is THAT why they have undead killer?)...there's no real reason to toss Magic Def. Bonus on them..

Sure there is. ~_~ It's called Barspell Merits. Not only do Barspell Merits give a numerical boost to the barspell stats you see in your equipment menu, they also give 2% Magic Defense Bonus per merit of the element coordinating with the actual Barspell to everyone that gets hit with said barspell. ~_~ With 5 merits, that's a 10% damage reduction to things like Fafnir's Hurricane Wing and Breath attacks, and all the annoying Elemental Bites that the Wyrms use when flying. When you can bet that you'll see 100+ Bites @ 250+ damage each, per Wyrm fight, there is a damn good reason to give your tanks a Magic Defense Bonus Boost, not to mention a higher chance of resisting the attack altogether. ~_~
