Doesn't necessarily mean a summon, I mean they aren't in IV.
Could be a summon, could be a boss in upcoming WotG missions, we'll see in the future.

Be interesting to see how they do it if they are a summon in 11, since there are 3 of them... but I would agree prolly a boss fight somewhere in WotG.
 
It's strange how they look exactly like the way they do in FFX. Usually the appearance of summons changes slightly/dramatically between games.

I would say boss fight. Or would be neat to see help out in a Campaign fight. Some legendary summoner.
 
Awe. I'dve hopped that they would be bosses in a future update. Looking at the jpbutton post though, it does make sense.

Forgive me if I misread your wording, but if you're saying they weren't in IV - they were. They were Barbariccia's little minions in the Tower of Zot.
 
He means they aren't a summon in IV.
 
Ah, too bad they are not likely going to be the new summons, though I did not make the connection about the xyz sisters so that was a nice read. I guess a lot of people are arms in air about what the new summons might be, personally as a smn I'm a little bit excited to find out hehe. Hopefully it's something interesting..

Saying so as nice as it would of been to see the sisters as summons I have a few other personal favorites that I would love to see. Honestly, I am one of the few people who do not really want Alexander or Odin added as summonable, as awe inspiring as they are. Anima was one of my personal favorites, and though it is not one of the more..historied..avatars it would be interesting to see it in the game.

Another would Eden, now that would be interesting indeed. Mmmmm.

And to be even more honest, I love the renditions of the espers in FFXII, and that game was similar to FFXI in many ways. Adding any of the espers would be amazing in my book though unlikely due to lore. Still, any good writer can add to a storyline so it can easily be added in especially since they are already constantly adding to FFXI's world and story.

I doubt they'd use the FFXII Espers as FFXI avatars, as the espers seem to be exclusive to the Ivalice universe.
 
they have several avatar here that can be summon like ixion, Phoenix, odin, Alexander, and soon to be Atomos. Magus sister while nice seem to be a tad stretch considering you have 3 summons out at once. Fight them be fun though.
 
I'm banking that
-We won't be formally introduced to Phoenix's physical form until we head to the far east
-Atomos won't be summonable.
 
We'll find out what the new summons are at next years Fanfest. They'll be implemented at the fanfest after that.
 
Didn't SE say that they often scour premier site forums to look for peoples suggestions on what they'd like to see in the game, it seems people are quite excited to see the possibility of The Magus Sisters as a Summon, might aswell head over to them all and spam it? We might get what we wish for!
 
Actually, something like the Magus sisters would make sense. They've been going on about how it's taking them so long to get their new avatars to work since they won't be Bp heavy.(Avatars have too many BPs?) A new type of system that works together with the three sisters would be pretty cool.
