Making sigs in MS Paint.

Thats because I clipped it from yours - I generally make a shot from the Model Viewer at high res, the jpeg compression on your sig made it hard to get a clean border.

I don't see many Jagged edge's on my sig, and if they are, that's the hair and armor.

Those are the ones I'm talking about.

Also, the reason why I use black, is because it shows that even when trapped in darkness, I still stand strong, it's not just a color you add in the background, it is how you look at it. Art is not just pretty color's mixed together.

Black backgrounds remind me of crappy geocities pages of the late 90s. Theyre overdone - I avoid them as much as possible. At least you had a reason, though. ^_^

Anyways, reason why I can't install anything is because on the computer we each have separate log in accounts, however, she has it set up so I can't download/install anything.

Burn it to CD, boot with that CD, and all Windows passwords are belong to you, you can reset them anyway you like.

As for the typeface, it's the same one Jinnai used, so I stuck with it. The colors were a trial run - you know how easy that stuff is to change.

Daroth - Your sigs have always been excellent.

Unphazed - Your sig is awesome, especially for an MS Paint-made one. It easily competes with Photoshop ones.

I also wanted to point out that I didn't name any names in the starting post of this thread. Oni singled himself out, I didn't.

Oh, and am I the only one who thinks of how Forest Gump said "Jenny" when I see the word "Jinnai?"

My friends already make fun of the name as it is...and they say they are joking around...

The name is Japanese, and it is an actual japanese name, and it somewhat means "People/Person that isn't there/doesn't exist"

Makes a great ninja name :?

also, if you can't pronounced it, it is Jin, like Jin from Tekken, and Nai, rhymes with Samurai
The most common mispronounciation is Jennae, like rhymes with Hay...so...that is probably why it sort of sounds like Forest Gump saying Jenny... ugh...

I didn't put my early stuff out there for everyone to see.

If you put it on the internet, it's fair game for critisism. In the words of a music remixing FAQ, "Never submit your first work. It will suck, 100% guaranteed."

And, I'll reiterate one last time: My original post did not mention ANYONE by name. Oni brought himself into this discussion.

Anyhow, I remembered something important today. The first place I used photoshop was - the high school computer lab. Every Computer Lab I've been in since High School has had at least ONE machine with Photoshop on it. That may be an idea for people without access to it at home, depending on your age.

And if there isn't a computer in the lab with Photoshop, you can always put the GIMP on it. GIMP has 90% of the functionality of Photoshop, is free, and is a very small download for what you get. (Like 7 megs total.)

thanks for posting the link to the gimp program. i had not heard of this. i am going to download it and try and see if i can make something nice. i'll make sure to not post my first efforts, lol

if anyone has any advise on using these programs i'd like to shorten my learning period a little.
