People wonder how Lunacie got his relic so quick.

Turns out he was selling coins discounted from his ls for personal gain.

To all the people of United, I hope you've enjoyed going to the shell to personally pad someone's pocketbook.
 
My biggest question is if members in that shell have to pay a portion of the hourglass in order to enter. That's all kinds of messed up if they do, otherwise i wouldn't really care. That's why i liked running in Limitless. Sure, it was a pyramid scheme, but i didn't have to pay in, and i got relic armor.
 
As long as I was under Kotsu in SanctusMilitis we were never expected to pay any amount of a run, and as the new lead I won't expect any different.
 
If i was doing a relic, i wouldn't take the currency my LS gives me (probably for said relic) and sell it back out for a PROFIT.
 
I think the whole point that hasn't been said yet is that people are offering discounts out of kindness and willing to help an upgrader... just to have them turn around and profit off them is a little low. I would have been pretty peeved and insulted if someone did that to me when I had Encore and I was trying to do what I could to help them out.

In addition, Lunacie is one of the leaders in the shell that I currently run with. I'm just hoping the comment about getting discounted coins from our shell isn't one of the ones he did this profit plan off of. I'd be pretty damn disappointed.

Well, it was no surprise to anyone in SM that we struggled from time-to-time to pay for runs. Truth be told, and although it wasn't expected of us to pay out-of-pocket, I can definitely count the times I know Kotsu did fork over some of his own personal gil for an hourglass, as well as even rarer occasions where some of us would lend gil for a run (it was always paid back, at least in my case).

I won't speak for him because I don't know the arrangement they had, but to give more credence to Audino's statement, I likewise would be a tad miffed if someone were profiting 100% from an act of kindness or good faith.
 
There's no period of break of thought between Lunacie's two sentences. They sound like a continued sentence there, so sounds like Lunacie gets coins from their own shell at a discount then resell them for profit. Were I in said shell I'd be pretty pissed and would be wanting my share of the profit.

The reason this conversation took place was he was explaining to us how he didn't buy his mandau with rl funds...after his 'awesome' znm ls ninja'd a znm from our noses while we were waiting on repop. Great show of character there.

Kotsu was very cool about selling coins and he and I talked a lot about dynamis. I, too, put in a shitload of gil into Encore just like he did with SM and I respected him a lot on that level. Its nice to be able to give your members free runs. After one Windy run, Kotsu sold me a big pile of whiteshells, mostly at the going rate. However, he charged me just about 1M for all of them, doing what he could for me and then making sure his people were also taken care of for the next run at the same time. I respected that and thats why I never would have turned around to sell those coins for profit.
 
To be sure, it's something I can keep a watchful eye about when I go to sell any future coins from SM runs.
 
He's got his relic, don't need to worry about him.

Although he does need the other 17 pieces properly equipped.

Meant to add onto that last part- You can't go from 0 to full stage relic in that short of time just by reselling Ancient Currency unless you get it at a really, really cheap price.
 
I've got the entire convo with the ninja lotter ss'd as well. Full of the QQ's and this isn't fafnir bs. I'd probably send a /tell to a ls before i went and tried to take longer to kill a tier II then we had just done a tier IV, but hey...


That's just me.
 
That was an awesome sara tonight, it was done before pro/shell v wore, lol.
 
That was pretty cool how I was able to turn in the pictures of the Marid then run back before they were done.

Darktemplar is actually a really cool guy and I don't think he'd have condoned any kind of ninja popping. I know and get along with quite a few people involved in this whole thing. I may have sounded "holier than thou" in this thread, but I'm not really trying to be. I consider my linkshells homes and I do get protective and I often jump the gun when there's a possibility that some kind of sensitive situation may have happened.
