Map Modifications ?? {Hmmmm}

I heard a rumor that it is posible pull the game maps out to edit then import them back inside the game with modified information Ex. spawn locations hidden areas and ??? locations.

Is this possible or have i become a victim of rumor Mongering.

If anyone has some info on this on either importing edited maps or Editing Maps i would be eternally Grateful for any info you could divulge

be warned:
one of the Quicksand Cave's maps doesnt work properly with that download.
i dont go there often enuf to actually figure out which .dat is F'd up. just FYI

the only thing that these map 'upgrades' dont include are the elemental spawn locations.

w000t! The map mod I got includes the elemental locations! I'd give ya a link, but it's from a thread somewhere lost in this forum. :banghead3:

I actually think it does, from what I can tell. I downloaded it last week, and there are elemental locations on the maps. I know this for sure because I was farming Lightning Clusters last night, and they all spawned near the purple areas that were marked on my map.
 
I am not sure but Twille might be thinking of a different map pack I would bet there are a few out there. The one from the link in another QCDN thread has the elemental spawns, and I think it was the Boyhada tree that was messed up, but it could have Quicksand Caves messed up as well; Orchid would probably know for sure.
 
I installed this one and I have the really nagging feeling that this is a keylogger or something of the like...

Edit:

NVM I went through all the files and they all where the same size and would only go into the dat folders, no hidden exes or anything.

Map pack is 23 mb even zipped. That's to large for most email programs. 30 mins isn't a bad wait.
 
why 30 min? <.<;

I could maybe upload it to my private server if you really need it =/ But I'm in a exp party now, so that'd have to be in more then 30 min though XD
 
it went weird and would not let em get it :(

If you could private server it and PM me a link I would be much happy and I would grab it in the morning. :)
 
Vang they will just use their pc to bring up the map if they don't have it anyway.

Says the person playing on ps2 freeing his pc to look at the exact same maps we can, except he can look at the ones we don't have yet in game. Yep, we sure are the cheaters. :wink:
