Mmm, JP release of XIII announced for 2009 too.
US/EU will get it sometime in 2015.

2009 demo.. if we go with FFXII demo -> game then.. hmm early 2010 for Japan, late 2010 for NA? :P or were they doing simultaneous for PS3? cause I thought the simultaneous they said was "Simultaneous release on 360 and PS3 for NA"
 
Simultaneous release for NA and EU for 360. It's not simultaneous release for PS3 and 360. I don't know if EU is getting anything other than an English version either to be honest.

As for Advent Children... it's eye candy with no concrete plot.

I'd never buy it for DVD, because it's just eye candy, Blu-ray... might look really good, Spirits Within sure did, not that I kept it. (I got it in a buy 1 get 1 free Amazon sale, and traded it.) Advent Children is a little bit cooler to watch, better visuals even and I'm such a big FF7 fan, I own all the side games even. I was planning on buying it anyway, though it's not going to be one of my favorites.

Now the FF13 demo... nice bonus - going to assume there's only 1 blu-ray version, and it comes with it. I don't buy special editions generally... I don't need an extra disc full of extras, and I don't need an artbook, especially of a movie I'm not really in love with. If they try and force me to spend extra money to get the movie with it, I will probably not buy either version, but rent the version with the demo, watch the movie once to see the great graphics, play the demo and be done with it.

I won't need the demo when the game comes out, and I can buy the original version later when it's in bargain bin pricing after FF13 comes out.
 
I got a bundle deal of DVD and UMD of AC for 20 bucks XD so I took it lol, yay for stuff! Blu Ray meh.. but I do wanna try that demo :(
 
You know what shocks me most?
The fact that apparently they were planning to use those graphics on the cell phone.
I mean, jesus christ, I knew their cell phone tech is better than the ours, but holy balls, man.

• Final Fantasy XIII trailer showed gameplay but no actual battles, drawing out the tease.
• Versus XIII will cross-promote the ROEN fashion brand. All characters in the game will be wearing ROEN designs. Pure speculation, but I don't think it will affect gameplay, I think it's to make you want to buy those clothes.

That last point, makes me remember when Devil may Cry 2 promoted Diesel clothing... though FFvsXIII will have less suck ;)

Nice to see Square-Enix resorting to ingame advertising. Better alternative to actually making good games I guess?

If that ROEN crap is what they're wearing in those images we've already seen, then I wouldn't really notice.
Unless it works out like Adidas where the logo's so damn large on the front of the shirt or something. But otherwise, it just looks like generic street wear.

they probably dropped the cell phone bid way before agito was into production, id be surprised if those were cell phone SS but you never know

I'm curious how The 3rd Birthday will play, since they've said it won't be like the previous 2 titles. I just hope it releases outside of Japan, Agito XIII and Dissidia are shoo ins, but PE I'm not so sure of.
I hope it does though.
