Well..I am very sad and embarrassed to say I am from Oregon this morning. Our state measure 36 passed which basically puts in the Oregon Constitution policy that only marriage between one man and one woman is valid or legally recognized as marriage.

WTF are we putting this stuff in our constitution? I guess I am naively so surprised this passed. But the proponents of this measure were VERY active in their scare tactics...i.e. They will be teaching homosexual sex in our schools...etc.

My linkshell was getting into a lot of political discussions last night and one VERY ignorant person was spouting off and using derogatory terms...I ended up blisting them and even took my link pearl off for the evening. I am just so frustrated with the direction that this country seems to be taking...and that as far as true human rights we seem to be taking steps backwards.
