1up Yours this week (11/09/07) mentions a couple of "hot rumors" near the end of the podcast. Here are the transcripts from the relevant segments in the podcast:

Shane (host/EGM editor): "I won't go into exacting detail because these rumors haven't been confirmed but they're definitely swirling around. They're probably gonna break next week. So a preview of what you may be seeing next week. A big Microsoft first-party title that has been in the works for a very long time that people are very excited for, sounds like it's being canceled. And a Microsoft executive who's pretty high up, who's been a voice for the company, sounds like he's on the way out. (1:58:11-1:58:37)"

no word on what the title will be, rumors say its the banjo kazooie game, halo wars, or alan wake.

well the rumors have had one official word, marvel universe, and the second is a solid rumored name
Last week, Shane Bettenhausen caused an internet uproar, an e-debacle if you will, when he hinted that an anticipated Microsoft first-party title would soon be canceled. The title turned out to be Marvel Universe Online, and while it hasn't been officially canceled, it sounds like production is at a standstill. The second, less sexy part of the rumor: A top Microsoft exec is on the way out.

Towards the end of the 1UP Yours podcast while the topic was being discussed, host Garnett Lee asked guest host N'Gai Croal, "Do you watch any Nickelodeon like Something Possible?". If you're not as adept with afternoon TV trivia as we are, allow us to drop some knowledge: He's talking about Kim Possible. And that points squarely at Microsoft Games Studios boss Shane Kim.

By that fault then it also shouldn't be Halo Wars since the recent deal of Bungie buyin' their "freedom" after Microsoft passes on a title. Also, Rare released an official statement, after hearin' they were rumored to be a possible cut, sayin' Banjo and Kazooie is not being cut. Alan Wake's crew did the same and mentioned exactly what Firestreak said.

I'm not sure whether or not I believe the part of it bein' a first party title, until MS says so. If it is a first party title, I'm goin' with Fable 2 because of how low it has been laying for a "BIG HIT". On the other hand, say it's not a first party title, I'd go with Too Human because Microsoft has put a lot into Silicon Knights and they are havin', probably, more legal issues with Too Human than the company is worth.

It better not be Fable 2 as thats been looking awesome! Especially the dog.
 
Too Human is pretty much done though right? lol The game is no longer in the development stage. That would be strange and yeah people would be super upset if it's Fable.

Not done, blame Epic.

I haven't seen Fable 2 officially ruled out. It's a major title, they should have done so by now.
 
Man, that would suck.

Its acutally MGS4 that was cancelled. Looks like the 360 people will have to wait even LONGER for it.
 
Too Human it is then. Or, still Fable 2. I'm not buyin' that full swing crap, I've seen more on FF:XIII than Fable 2 and the fact that it's past due, way past due.
 
As much as i really wanted Too Human, i'd rather have Fable 2.

Same here, I can't really think of a more innovative/better looking rpg on the Xbox, and I can hardly wait for the second edition. Really hope Fable doesn't get cancelled.
 
Fable = Interesting and enjoyable.
Too Human = Good idea on paper but I don't see it being that fun in action.

Epic also probably isn't on too great terms at this point with the Too Human devs. Maybe MS decided to just say the hell with them. For all we know the game ends up materializing on PC in 2009.
 
I know Too Human was having problems with the Epic engine and all, but they already scrapped that engine in 06 and made a new engine and completed all development stages of the game. I thought they were in like an alpha/beta stage pretty much.


Fable 2 has been so quiet, but I just can't see it being that title. It would be Too Human before that.
