Marvel vs Capcom 2

I have Mame, I have CvsM1 have for a long time, I just never play it because I never figured out how to use my gamepad with the games.

Why is emulating and iso's such a pain in the ass... download a emulator, then you need a bios or something, then you need all this other shit... so stupid.

FF7 was re-released though, which is why it's not as valuable as it could be. I got Xenogears too but no case. What I think makes Suikoden particularly valuable is they are part of a series that you can use a single game save to go through.

FFVII Player's Choice is crap. If you get the original version still sealed like I have, then it can be EBay'ed for close to $300. I've seen 'em sell for that much unsealed, so I wouldn't be suprised if I could get more for it.

When I worked at GameStop, I collected so many old and rare games. We had some of the highest volume of trades in the Northeast region just for the fact we get a lot of stolen stuff in, so it is always in great condition, near perfect, except for when it gets dropped during a getaway lol I saw, within 3 months, about 10 Marvel vs. Capcom 2 come through. I don't know where they are getting them, but its the real packaging.

Plus the GameStop doesn't take PS1, N64, Dreamcast, and stuff earlier, anyone trying to trade that stuff in is easily talked into selling it for cash if I was interested. I miss managing GameStop sometimes.

Whats this Player's Choice stuff btw? >.>

They re-released it like a year later for $20 as a "Player's Choice" game. Just like Sony's "Greatest Hits" for the ps2 titles that they released and microsoft's "Platinum Hit" or whatever it's called.

Because the BIOS contains proprietary code which is not legal to distribute, much like the games... and the emulator authors avoid distributing or revealing how to distribute copyrighted code so they don't get shut down, since the actual emulation itself is legal.

PS1 games also had "Greatest Hits". I've never seen a "Players Choice"

As for emulating..The best I could ever do was find working PS1 bios...That sure was a pain when I didn't know where to go -.-

Yeah, it was called "Greatest Hits." I don't know where "Player's Choice" came from.

"Player's Choice" is Nintedo's quasi-re-release title. It doesn't necessarily denote a re-release(though it can,) but after so many sales, they add it on to the game boxes.

$425.00? Is it the arcade cabinet? Jesus.

The answer is: Buy it, install HDLoader onto your PS2, rip disk, sell.

I don't really understand why people would pay 300 bucks for the original when you pick up a 20 dollar re-release in the store. Collectibles are cool and all for a rare painting or some hard to get baseball card, but we're talking about mass produced CDs. As long as it's the same information on the game and it's a legal copy of it, who really cares?

I only understand rare games that weren't rereleased, you have to pay top dollar in order to play them. It's not like some guy's 300 dollar copy of FF7 somehow differs from my 20 dollar.

It's not like they're hand made and it's not like they're art.

Not speaking for the other games, but FFVII is art.

Then 6 must be a masterpiece, and I wonder why Square-Enix didn't charge $500 for Advance.

Would you rather pay someone an extreme amount for a first release, or pay the company that made the game for a rerelease? Who deserves the cash more?

I agree with Fire on not paying $300 for an original. I just like to make money of those people who will.

And I am sick of people saying FFVII is the greatest FF game ever. Sephiroth was a pussy with an Oedipal complex. Kefka blew up the fucking world. I think it's pretty easy to see who wins here.
