Its true most people hate halo because its popular and its the "in" thing to be different. But call of duty is a great game too, and Bub and Bob are a better choice than master chief anyway. Too many fond memories of that game.

epic win xd, etc.

I hate halo because it's a generic shooter on a console. Console shooters suck.

lols...

"one of the most prominent series in video game history" "critically acclaimed" lol lol..

I like how he corrects himself when he says that Halo is "The best series ever"

Halo hasn't been a good (game) story since Halo 1. But like this guy's entire rant, that's just my opinion.

I lol at this dude in general.

I don't like Halo because they've spun the game into being basically just for online play and didn't work on having a decent fucking story to the main game (campaign). When I played Halo 1 with my friend split-screen campaign it was a super awesomely fun experience. When I played Halo 2 I was like "Wtf is this shit?" I'm also not really that big on console online multiplayer for fps games. So, Halo just doesn't do it for me.

Well thats your opinion, I prefer console shooters.
I hate PC shooters with a passion, ive tried playing them, ive had people talk me into trying a few but its always a few games played and im done with it for good.
Its all opinions and preference here, but i still stand by the fact most people hate on it because its the "in" thing, most of the people ive heard talk crap on it, i end up seeing playing for hours and days on end.

PC shooters tend to require some skill.

Console shooters don't, and most have auto-aim.

Do you have a source for this "fact"?

That's hardly a fair statement. Somewhat retarded in fact lol.

Console shooters require a level of skill as well. Shit just ask the fools I play with, I'm hit or miss on my accuracy/k2d. Actually the best way to find out for yourself, or for fun in general is to jump off the PC right onto a console and play the same game. Even giving yourself time to become accoustomed to the control switch up. According to you, you won't even have to try. Especially if you are a beast on PC, console should be ridiculous and you should pwn all servers!!

I loathe auto-aim; it's hardly an asset for most players as it'll actually throw you off when you are lining someone up. Picture having a red dot lined up on someone's dome, then in the room adjacent to you (behind a wall even) someone runs by dragging your friggin 'auto-aim' with them. Not cool.

I can't stand Halo, for the simple reason that it's futuristic, and I found it stupid easy the 1 time I played.

I grabbed this huge sledgehammer type weapon from an enemy I slaughtered and proceeded to fuck EVERYTHING up without taking hardly any damage.

The PC - Console arguement will never cease. I have a number of friends who prefer PC shooters to console because the mouse is so much more accurate/fast. I personally don't know and I don't give a shit. I cannot imagine playing a shooter game on a PC using a mouse, I think it's stupid.

Hell if I could still use the Duck Hunt gun for all my shooters I would.

Yeah I know, I'm just being a butthurt PCfag.
I can't work with two thumbsticks to save my life, need mah WASD and mouse :<

Edit: Oh god duck hunt.
That dog is an asshole, I'd like to see him try and shoot the ducks. Jerk.

It seems to have gotten awful 4channy in here.

Ahh that's okay =)

Die Hard PC'fags' and Die Hard Console'fags' will always love their gaming styles. No shame in that. I would be lost using a mouse, but I just think it would feel funny >.>

Honestly though with Halo, people bitch about Halo jumps in CoD >.> myself included EVENTHOUGH I don't know 100% what a Halo jump is lol. Call me a bandwagoner, I just pickup sayings like everyone.

I can't get into Halo because of the lazer guns etc, so I haven't got a good base for comparrison on the shooters CoD vs Halo and so on. Like I said I used a sledgehammer the only time I played Halo and it made it too easy.

All we need is Boxxy.

I enjoy console shooters more than PC shooters.

I liked Halo, but I hate overhype. For that reason, I usually wait til the hype of a game (or even a movie) dies down before I even touch it. I've played the story of all three, played a bit of online, but that's about it. People hype it up too much imo.

When people do those stupid little bunny hop to laying down while shooting you. Those are the halo jumps that, for whatever reason, people get annoyed with. I think it makes it easier because in CoD you don't jump 400ft in the air.

I wasnt tryin to start a war or nothin, im sayin like has been stated after my post that each type of gamer will prefer their own type, hell there are even mouse and keyboard adapters for the 360 for those who prefer that set up.
When i play a PC shooter i cant aim for shit, i spin or turn way too fast and i feel retarded. I just dont like the feel of it, hell when i played FFXI on the PC i had to have a controller programmed to replicate the ps2 controller.
When i went to a friends house and he had to leave for 20 minutes, he asked me to run his character while he was in dynamis, some guy asked me to craft something and i had no idea what to push.
I was scared to death i was gonna get this guy lost or killed because i simply couldnt figure out what the hell i was doing with his set up.
I even asked the guy what to do in a tell, talk about feeling like a noob in a game i played daily haha.

As for halo, im not defending that at all. My view on halo has changed drastically since i started playing CoD. I was hardcore halo from 1 to 3. Played every night with my friends and murdered people, then my friends started playing CoD 4 and it got lonely, so i bought it just to hang out with them, then i got hooked. I try to go back to halo and i suck because it takes a year to kill someone, and the movement is so damn slow. Not to mention it never feels like you get the fair end of the stick in a firefight. "I shot at that guy while his back was turned, unloaded a clip in him and he turns around and drops me in a split second!!! WTF!?" I go back from time to time, but i dont take the game seriously anymore.
But for nostalgia sake, i will play every installment that they release. I had some great times with halo, Lan parties were the best times and i miss them. Its the game that actually got me into shooters.

Chas, bud, don't take any game seriously. Except FFXI. And no, having a baby is still no excuse to miss an endgame event.

Bhopping's been around since Counter-Strike, lol. That shit is very annoying, but it was only useful in Counter-Strike as a means of moving MUCH faster than your other players. I've seen people cover a map in a matter of seconds when there's no anti-bhop tools installed on some servers.

I genuinely like halo, hell i bought the game and my xbox before it became popular (you know, back when it had the HUGE controller?). I also enjoyed playing Halo 1 on Legendary with my friends LOL so much death. I tried PC shooters (unreal tournament and quake) and altho I loved them, I really couldnt get used to the controls =/

I personally can't stand when people pull the Halo Jump/Bhop or whatever it'll be called next. More so because I never think to do it myself >.> lol AND I think it's a pussy move much like pre-shooting and sporting Juggerslut, but that's me =p And girls don't play video games heh

I don't get the hype over Halo. Again, not a fan, so why would I right? There are other sci-fi games that I have liked though, but they're more suspense/action not so much fps. Like Prototype, Dark Sector etc

haha, i forgot all about that "where were you!?" "Having a baby" "Thats not a good excuse" haha!
Ex, when 14 comes out we gotta be on the same server bro, our fans await our comeback!

I think that would be great! :spiteful:
