I took 5 hi-ethers, about 5 yag drinks, a vile elixer and I forget what else...
I don't think I took hi-pots but they may be of use.

Ice, wind, light and dark elemental staves are real useful in that fight.

If you can sleep him, you know you can win that fight. Run until he stops to cast a spell on you, and sleep him.

Well i faced maat yesterday and won with an elemental skill of 208 including af (think that should be lower than 66 cap). only item i would recomend buying is int potion ( I bought some ethers that are soon to be in my bazaar, int potion medicates u so if u plan on using ether u have to pop it after initial buffs and before pot ) get someone to lend u a pluto and austeres and u are set, wait till darksday so sleep doesnt get resisted.

I went in naked, hit my refresh macro and equip all gear while casting, blink after ( really important, blink took a paralyze in the begining of fight for me) and run to him as fast as u can, hit ur sleep 2 macro and keep dispelling till no buffs or shell is gone, if u have a hq ice staff or confidence in landing bind u can use it (waste of mp for me since no hq staff ) hit ur aero 3 macro while standing at maximum casting distance, after cast use sleep 1 macro ( if u can land sleep 1 the saved mp can be the difference of 1 aero 3 before having to convert, since theres no resting involved in this fight ) rinse and repeat, my silence got consistantly resisted but i guess u might have better luck, use it when he is near 70% hp cause he should be about to use chainspell, when he does, sleep him if he used it before u, heal to full convert if u havent and chainspell aero 3 him to dead.

thanks for the advice...I'm kinda hesitant to log on atm and try maat since firstly...

I dlved and I'm in the Quicksand caves area (centurio pop location)

and when I log on 3 antica and a blm nm will have a nice word with me ^^;
