i just wanted to send thanks out.. After reading this thread.. i believe it was a couple of days ago.. i get a tell from this medicineman dood inviting me to come party.. i very nicely said No thanks .. So thanks for the forewarning.... :)
 
I don't think anyone's said it but Medicineman also had a dynamis linkshell back last summer. He wanted to "work on getting members northland access" when a lot of the members were from a common linkshell that used to spam northlands. And finally after about 3 months of spamming cities a lot of people realized that they were getting no currency or relic. Turns out he was using everyone to try and fund his relic bow. Needless to say the shell fell apart.
 
Maybe not flame of the year, but god damn that's the best title for a flame I've ever read.
 
Hey, if I don't know you're in TheArtofWar ( cuz trust me when I say this, I care little enough about you that I don't bother looking at name/sig/LS listing ) then whatever. I don't rate people down cuz it's just not worth the effort to put a blemish on someone elses day.
 
lol i was in BDS under this dude when it first started in sky...just lol. didnt even know he still played. remember our 1st kirin took like 3 hours. but yea, pretty much a dick and a loot hording slut.
 
Why didn't you just steal the items from him like you did innocent players? Or is it duesche bag code?

This is a bit of an old flame, but as a member of TAoW (not my main anymore, but i know MANY of its members) I feel the need to toss in my two cents:

Not ALL the members of TAoW are bad, just subject to bad leadership every once in a while. So please dont discriminate them, for the majority are actually great players.

On to Medicineman: I knew the guy for maybe 15 minutes, and already I wanted to tie him to an ant hill naked. Why he runs with my Sky shell (and why most of the members of my Sky shell do Limbus with him) I honestly dont know. All I can say as per my observation, he sux as a player (even more so as a tank) and once on vent, actually had the gall to tell my Sky LS leader that even though new rules were in place, he didnt plan to follow them. Anyone here who is new, or hasnt met up with this low life, PLEASE AVOID HIM LIKE YOU WOULD AVOID THE PLAGUE, FOR HE IS ONE.

Heh, I remember when he started Boondock Saints and kept stressing the no-points ideal where the players that are "recognized as helping out a lot" get priority... I posted on QCDN multiple times and posted on their own boards and my posts would constantly get deleted.

Six months later, people bitching about not getting anything in BDS and they finally adopt a point system...
 
Not really worth the two month necro. It just reminds everyone about this again and probably does more harm than good to the shell. Noble intention but bad idea.
 
would it be any different then making a new thread about it?
 
I could have sworn I saw him /shouting in Whitegate for people who wanted to kill kirin to pay gil to join the run and they could pick 1 item to lot on. This was maybe 2 weeks ago if i remember correct. Now I have seen kirin drop as little as 2 items with a thf in ally with enmity on him from kirin. Some players should come with warnings on them....

He runs a weekly LS that kills kirins. He buys the pop items and the members split the cost and then choose one item to lot on before they kill it, just an fyi.
 
yes, but does he make a profit on it? most shells doing old school would have about 24 people for it.

II doubt its a big profit if any at all, but he could make a profit from it. Im sure its pretty small since he usually charges 15-30k per person, depending on the prices of the popset. He started doing it to obtain his wlegs, without committing to a sky LS. He got them and decided to keep doing it. That event has made me close to 2 mil in money drops, its definitely a gamble though, but hey 15-30k here and there sometimes I walk away with 400k. Not to mention my friend went and got his K.Osode the fist time, 18k for an Osode, not bad.
 
I did those kirins for roughly a month (two?) and I've never seen him charge anything but 20k. From day1 I realized he's profiting off it, albeit not a great deal of profit; it's not difficult, however, to divide cost by # of people. This, plus the fact that he gave himself divine right to the first wlegs (in a "freelot" shell) just because he made the shell really didn't rub me in the right way. Everything the guy does, he clearly does to manipulate others to gear himself; I'm just surprised people don't wisen up sooner.
 
I dont think its that people dont wise up......more like they hope to get something they REALLY want out of it, then jump ship once they do. Lets face it, TOO MANY people wants W.legs (altho being a PLD i believe we should get first dibs) and if you try to get it thru ur regular sky shell.
