Mercurial Kris o.O Can I have it? Yes, please.

From what I hear, you fish up a Ryuga Titan, get it chopped up and it should be inside it, but it's very rare.

Anyone find out anything yet on Mercurial Kris?

Besides completely sucking for exp?

I wonder if it's got the same typo that the Mercurial Sword does... the GS actually should read "occassionally attacks 2 to 4 times". It's not Double Attack either:
1. tested with a PLD/WHM, he got 4 hits from one attack round
2. DA doesn't proc on multi-hit weapons, ever

I been fishing my ass off trying to get this damn thing with little luck..... Spent close to 10 hrs fishing so far..... Saw someone shouting to sell it in Lower Jeuno for 50 mil

It attacks 3 times and then the delay from the first attack was probably over.It hit 4th time and u thought it hits 4 times.

I may be a war but I'm not that dumb usually. I'll put 50mil on the line.

You can be a believer too. You can see the gap between attack rolls, even with a four-swing attack (not to mention 2 in a row).

as long as you are aren't hitting for zeros with it I don't see how it would suck for xp. Crazy TP gain.

It's an 8 damage dagger. If your using attack food or have a plethora of attack gear you might hit for some 1s. But let's say you are hitting for 1's, and getting TP. Yeah, its good.

However, when your /NIN one of your DE hits is a fully-modded attack of the offhand, so you will notice a fairly significant damage decrease between a higher damage offhand.

Granted im no THF know it all but I am not concerned with damage, to me my role is to have tp fast and at all times. Really don't understand why THFs care so much about hitting for more when they could gain more TP instead IDK.

To be able to have 100 TP every 30 seconds seems pretty rad to me.

Sneak Attack DE

30 sec

Trick Attack DE

30 sec

Sneak Attack DE

etc.

I would think all the WS spam would more than make up for the dmg but Im just throwing out idears.

*Waits for Phraust to set us all straight*

To gain 100 tp in 30 seconds would be something worth looking into. However, fights don't generally last longer than a minute after a thief skillchains. Typically I only use one SA and one TA per fight anyway. I don't prime any more. My timers are usually hot when I disengage to pull again. Don't usually have time to do more than one sa/ta/ws or ta/ws+sa per fight. The thing's dead. I just don't know how much use you'd make of those 30 second intervals in a party worth fighting with. In a bad party where things drag on...maybe. In a low VT-spamming party, maybe there too with good timer management.

I guess I can get 100 tp in around 40 seconds if I really really tried to. The dagger might bust that into sub-30. But as far as that being a goal worth pursuing in something other than a static? It'd probably be like trying to thiefburn. Sure, looks good on paper, but you have to have a degree in it to really pull it off. There's not much of a demand to change the dynamics of a thief in a party that makes good use of a thief. Full-power sataws at the start of a fight. You probably can't beat that functionally. Changing the tactics to 30-s intervals will probably do little but make you a little more comfortable in fast-chaining low-vt fights.

Those annoy me anyway. Give me Uleguerand.

Yea I guess you're right for once :D

I only do Sata WS at start of fight and that's it... would be nice to have 300 tp for each Sata WS though at the start instead of 150-200 *Shrug*
