Changes to Merit Points

The maximum number of merit points a player may use in each adjustable status category will be increased in the next version update!

The maximum number of usable merit points will increase in all categories in the following manner.

Combo total and sub-categories:
HP/MP
Attributes
Combat skills
Magic skills
Others

Combo total only:
Individual job categories

With this adjustment, players may reach their maximum potential possible with the Chains of Promathia expansion disc.

Furthermore, the FINAL FANTASY XI development team is already working to expand the merit point system for "Treasures of Aht Urhgan." Adjustments to make new magic spells and abilities available through the use of merit points are planned for the new expansion disc.

I think Uzor was talking about r/ex spells for mages, this may be something like that ^^;
Not a bad idea in my mind, spells and abilites you can get from merits, I'm excited. wheeeee

Wow, I guess my goal is to hit level 75 and start meriting by the time the next expansion comes out :cool:

I do remember seeing mention of spells designed / developed by the user on an interview somewhere, this just proves it :D I can't wait to see how the actually integrate this! :D

it says next update not next expansion^^ mean some time in dec
 
I posted it too, but i dont get it! what does it mean its really confusing to me since i'm only level 33, can someone explain it to me? thanks.
