merits

Wanted to broach the subject of Paladin merits to the community at large and see what you all think. We get four Tier 2 merits: Fealty (-2 minutes 30 seconds recast per upgrade) Chivalry (-2 minutes 30 seconds recast per upgrade) Iron Will (+19% effect per upgrade) Guardian (+19% effect...

I understand that the update increased the capacity of category points to 10 Has anyone any firsthand experience or data of the max potency of merits? specifically para and slow II, blind II increases -5 acc with every merit but not really worth mentioning here. Yes, I also understand that...

Is bar- Spell it worth meriting, I just finished cure cast time, and I don't know what to do with the remaining 5. I don't run Sky or Sea just Dynamis at the moment. Any help would be great, thanks in advance. :)

With the advent of Campaign I finally have a way to get merits while still getting stuff done outside of FFXI, so I've been working on my RDM. I've hit an impasse however, in that I'm not sure which of the category 2 spells are actually worth putting points into. I currently have one rank in...

Someone told me you don't get full merits on your low leveled jobs. So how exactly does that work? Because I'm planning to merit a few things before I level drk again. Gonna work on: -Crit hits (4/4) -Scythe skill (8/8 ) -STR (5/5) So like, at what levels would which of these be active...

So, I'm having a small problem. I can't add merits to my categories. ANyone else having this problem? In Categories... Clicked on Raise > Yes... then Nothing No confirmation on upping the merits or anything.. Help pls..

Just wondering what are some good merits for Smn? Is it worth it to get the merrited BPs? Or just throw all my merits into Mp, avatar attack and acc?

Now that I'm nearing my Enfeebling Merits cap, I was wondering what RDM specific merits I should endeavour on. My first thoughts were to do Convert and Ice (as tier 1), since I don't usually have any problems landing Gravity or Slow, however my Binds do tend to suck. Also, for group two, would...

Ok so i've started to merit my NIN, now so far i'm going for: Katana Crit Rate Evasion Ninja Tool Expertise (cheap skate ftw) STR Now i'm going to leave HP/MP alone incase I decide to do a mage job/another DD. They aren't that important and can wait till I decide what else i'm going to do in...

Im still fairly new to merits, and i need an opinion from some experienced 75 blms. I know to merit lightning and ice potency to 5, but im not sure wether to get all 6 AMII's or put 3 merits into Burst II and Freeze II, because i am told I will MB them (no idea where). Any suggestions? Edit...

Well after countless hours in merit PTs on drg I finally finished all my drg merits. Not that amazing these days but still a lot of work.

Well after a long break from meriting, I had maxed out my enfeebling skill and Tier 2 Merits, I've decided to work on these. Now, most rdms I know, seem to be all about the 5 Ice / 5 Wind combo. And I can see why Ice will boost your Paralyzes and Binds and Winds will help Silences and...

I know there are many BG/KI threads on this (which I've read), but just wanted to see what the QCDN community thought on the topic. Currently I have Wind @ Lv 4 and Singing @ LV 2 (bringing to 4). Next, I plan to drop a few in Lullaby Recast and Minuet Potency. As for Group 2: I see Sirvente...

Now before anyone jumps down my throat on this, I haven't done it at all...but was curious as to what people thought of this? Mainly was wondering if this'd be worthwhile for making more potent Silences and Paralyzes, though it'd also make for more powerful Chi Blasts. I understand the whole...

Ok I know what I need and I know what it'll take, the thing is what order should I do it in? Currently I've gotten: 4/6 AMII 3/5 Thunder Pot 3/? Elemental Skill Figure I still need 2 AMII 3 Lightning Pot 5 Ice Pot Max Elemental Skill Max INT Max MP Not sure about enmity decrease just because I...

I never gave this item much thought, but I notice even now, that I can reach 100tp+ pretty much faster then CA is up, and I don't have any haste/doubleattack/tripleattack gear yet, lol. Do you guys (BLUs) think its worth it to merit down this timer? Btw: I am not 75 as of yet, but there is...

Im wondering what other war like to merit for war cate. I was thinking x5 DA, x2 aggressor x2 berserk x1 warcry then cate 2 x3 warrior's charge x2 salvagery x1 tomahawk I dont see tomahawk being that impressive because you would have give up your bomb core is tomahawk worth it? Also...

I was looking for opinions on what I should use for combat merits for my thf and ranger. I currently have 5 dagger, and nothing else. I would like to merit Archery and Marksmanship, but not sure which is the better one to raise. Granted Marksmanship would benefit my thf also, but I don't have...

Finally done with all my necessary merits for war

***WARNING! - This thread actually invovles some reading!!! zomg! *** Celvantes and I were rolling some merits in Lufaise Meadows the other day and got to thinking. I was using my Polearm (yeah my shitty B- polearm) becuase it was outdoing my merited A+ Great Katana on the birds. I was...
