Xbox360 Messenger Kit thing...

So I just bought a Messenger Kit thing. I have a few questions about it.

I only got to try it out for like 5 minute last night, but it didn't work.
I looked it up today, is it just because my xbox might not be up to date?
And it IS compatible with Elite systems/wireless controllers, etc, right?

And will it be able to type all the same in FFXI?

And um...yeah, I'll update my xbox when I get back home tonight, but I thought it was already up to date...I dunno!

What do you guys know~?

I had one and it does work for FFXI but it's really awkward I found. Also you have to hit a shift like key to do a / so can be kinda annoying.

I saw that, but anything is better than the crappy gelly USB keyboard I had...It was so hard to type anything on that, I had to press so damn hard, lol. The other USB keyboards (where I was anyway) cost way more, so I figured I'd be price-efficient

The messenger kit in the UK is £34 (waste of my money) the full sized USB keyboard I bought cost me £5 from play.com.

Yeah, I was impatient, and at a store already, and wanted to get something while I remembered (been trying for ages, but always forgetting) So...result of my laziness, I guess, I was left with a few options. Although...I like the idea of having the keyboard right there with the controller.

Well it WAS that much, dunno if it became cheaper that was when it was first released mind you.

I dunno why I made this thread when I was just about to not have computer access the next day...

anyways, dunno how, but I fixed my problem and the chatPad works~~

My question NOW however...is there a way to change it so the "green" button won't get rid of the text/stuff/windows in XI? Makes it very hard to type "/" lol

I take it you mean the middle X button on the controller, if so then no i dont think there is a way to stop it doing that.
