Metal Gear Solid 4 - Official Thread

Just played my first round on MGO. Played some TDM. Went 9-2 busting on fools, 1st place. My deaths were kinda gay too. First one i was waiting for a guy to come around a corner and i thought i was behind a wall, but i wasn't... and i was right by there spawn... So some dude with an SVD spawned and scoped in on my head and just blew me away. Second death I forgot you get like no ammo online so i had like 2 bullets left but didn't know it so I poped out behind to guys and was gonna lay waste... but instead i ran out of ammo and they turned around and smoked me.

Otherwise i smoked everyone. Had like 7 headshots and the second round i didn't die at all, so I ran out of ammo and started pistoling people. Good stuff. We should get a QCDN MGO game goin.
 
I'm gonna try MGO tomorrow, as soon as I sign up to konami or some crap like that according to the instruction manual.

Alright so sneak kills are hard while taking pictures. I don't know how serial killers do it.
 
Going through my third playthrough now, going to use nothing but the Altair costume for camoflague the entire time. Assassin's Solid!
 
i'm having trouble sneaking past the gekko's and liquids assasin bitches on outer haven

i get all the way up to the door but i just cant seem to find the route to take to get to the door and open it safely ; ;
 
I have a feeling i know what is going to happen, but i don't have a sixaxis so if you could spoiler it or PM me, i'd rather not spend $50 on something that will be used once.

You gonna need sixaxis if you wanna play with the dolls on your repeat runs.


Also, some cool things I noticed when I ran around the ship during the mission briefings as the MK, won't say em all, but one device can be turned on by your tentacle thingy.

That i didn't know as i still haven't beaten Act 1, because of the sheer amount i've been at my store lately. Next week i start to get some days off so i'll be able to sit down and play it then. This is really not a game i want to play and be interrupted.

Would you say buying a sixaxis controller is worth it for this game or just stick to the dualshock? I figure that i already bought the 500$ machine, what is another 50 bucks?
 
Isn't the the dualshock both sixaxis and dualshock?

How do you control it?

And also wont you need six axis to beat mantis?
 
Press Square during Mission Briefing then move around normally. Stairs, I think is look semi up and hit X. Arm whip thingy is R1 when stopped.

I was under the impression they were different completely, but i don't really have a game to try it out on.
 
Dualshock is just the Sixaxis with rumble, so it is in fact, also a Sixaxis itself.
 
You need Dualshock for the Mantis fight too. It brings back so many memories :D
 
Sniper rifle is my best friend in MGO.

In G.G. SVD + N.V.G = good times til someone smart kills you lol

We gonna make a QCDN clan?
 
I'd love to play MGO with people :P

but anyways, I've been screwing around a lot in the game :P only on Act 3 XD (I screw around A LOT). Curious, does it install the second time through or third or such.. between acts? I'd hope not XD wouldn't make sense but ya, just wanna make sure :P
 
Is there any trick to using the sixaxis for the rosemary trick? I seem to shake the hell out of the controller but dont see anything move.
