Because there is no topic in the section it should be in, here we go :P let's talk about it here (positives ftw).

That Vamp guy made me say "wth is that character doing in this series???" in MG2. It's time to kill him again then... ^^
 
for the.. what.. fourth time? :P Vamp is a crazy ass immortal :D I <3 him so. And Raiden's pretty kickass now, before he was fairly cool but he had a whiney tone that was annoying. hmm

Anyways, looks sweet. Graphics don't really seem to be that much of an improvement, it definitely doesn't push the boundaries of the PS3.

Hope your not serious man, these graphics are def upgraded quite a bit lol.
 
Its not incredible by todays standard.
 
Graphics don't make a game good, I thought D: and, hell, graphically, it looks far superior to a lot of games. Better than many other PS3 games and 360 games (don't go all fanboy on me.. it sure as hell is.. I'd say better than any 360 game out so far)

Ele wake up. It is not better then alot of games now. Thats all. Sure it will be a good game. Will it be incredible? Doubt it. Hard for anyone to make incredible games after 2nd, 3rd installment of series. It gets all repetative. MGS3 sucked. 2 was incredible. This one eh who knows. I will be picking it up no matter what, regardles of its graphics and if its considered incredible by reviewers. So does it even matter?
 
You liked 2 more than 3? See, everyone has their opinions, and quite honestly I disagree with you. 2 is the ass of the MGS series.
 
My opinion along with many others including reviewers. 2 was great. 3 realy sucked to me. All opinions will be different i am sure. Fact tho is, MGS4 is not a lead graphic game. There are games out now that look far superior and MGS is not even due till 08'. It is not even in direct competition with games this year. Other titles in 08' compared to what we see now of MGS its kinda a dull avg looking game, visualy. I am not bashing MGS's overall gameplay tho man, i like the style of play and i am sure it will be good. Just not some mind blowing visual game. And you had said it earlier games dont need to be incredible visualy.
 
I still don't see how it's visually inferior to a lot of games.. just a different artistic style (as in a lot of it is more proportionally real to a lot of other games and their art styles).... but.. whatever

And ya.. MGS > MGS3 > MGS2 (I'd throw in Ac!d 1 &2 and Portable Ops but I'm not entirely sure how I rate them yet.. all of them are fun, cards were a bitch to get used to for me, but it was still fun.. and I haven't played MG and MG: SR in the longest time)
 
MGS2 is rated one of tops games ever on almost every game chart. It was the game that made me interested, and 3 let me down.
 
Graphics is a bonus to the game, but MGS4 is def the best looking game out there. I mean look at MGS2, it's still one of the best looking games ever and it was made in 2001.

If you didn't like MGS3, chances are you don't understand the WHOLE story of the MG/MGS games.

This includes MG, MG2, MGS, MG2. The "Big" story thoughout the whole games is amazing. For exmaple did you know that the 12 men in the president's room at the end of MGS3 are really the la-le-li-la-lu, aka the patriots?

If you dont understand MG, you wont understand MG2, and if you haven't understood those 2, you wont get some of the things thats going on in MGS. Same thing for MGS2. However if you take a closer look at MGS2. You don not know much about the patriots. This is where MGS3 comes in. It gives us the answers to why some events happend the way they did in the previous game.

Another example would be a question like "Who is big Boss, what did he do before he was ldr of Outer Heaven?" "What's the story behind Ocelot?" All those questions were answered in MGS3

And now we're at the end of the sega. MGS4 will answer ALL questions in ALL previous games, especially MGS2.

Hideo is amazing I tell ya. Long live the MGS games!

MGS is a good series. Yes i understand the whole story. MGS was incredible, loved each boss fight, area layouts... everything. MGS2 is one of my fav games. Looked great, bosses were even more beefy then MGS1, just some incredible moments as a gamer there. MGS3... I finished but only for sake of story. Felt like it was Rambo;; MGS4 has not impressed me graphicly yet. If you guys are so impressd by the little scenes i understand, they are running off game engine. But actally watching the game play it does look incredible. Just hoping the story will be great to keep me in.
