MGS4 on 360 1st

Oh well, it would be cool if they brought it to xbox. Thatd pretty much fuck sony since thats basically the only game PS3 has going for it. And with the new elite coming out thatd just shit can the ps3. Oh well atleast ps3 still has something goin for it, i've never really been an MGS fan so i don't mind much but it would have been cool to play on xbox. Probably would have looked better lol.

Pray tell, how MGS4 woulda looked better on 360? If anything they'd be nearly identical.

I listed them because of the previous poster thats saying MGS4 is all the PS3 has going for it, and you may remain a sceptic, but I'm looking forward to both(Lair/KZ2), and I enjoyed the first KZ tyvm, not the greatest, but definitely not the worst FPS. I'm listing them because they're some of the titles I'm looking forward to. You may not be, but I don't give a damn about you.

Oh and DF= Drake's Fortune(new title from Naughty Dog), and R2= Resistance 2(Insomniac has already said they're working on it, and I enjoyed the first one)

i just dont understand.. you list ps3 games.. in thread about a april fools joke.. because you are looking foward to them... ok... lair looks real bad;; its just a little castle and stone textures in background lol, even the water looks like stone lol. given these are the only videos we get to see of it so far. kz was terrible fps, and i am huge fps fan. and not biased against PS's fps scene, hell Time spliters was great. as for HS hmmm... if this game plays out like GoW then thats pretty cool, but i take into mind when the creator said "new cinematic style" i think he means "hit X now!(and watch you do all these things you have no control over) Hit Square now(and watch another set of things you have no control over)" like they have shown in each of the videos so far. tho GoW used that system for boss battles, it never got annoying there. but back to my 1st comment concerning you, why list these games... do you honestly want a list of 360 games to match it? lol and you cant even play some of those till 08';;

LOL!! And the X-Box isn't? I like the shooters on it but they aren't anything innovative and amazingly awesome (like Deus Ex <3). That's kind of a dumb thing to say, tbh. Could easily say that about Microsoft or you could say something like Nintendo: For kiddy gamers! (honestly I think they need some more mature/deep storylines and characters and something interesting.. so far only Metroid seems to have some level of maturity)

I just listed those because someone saying MGS4 is all ps3 had, if you'd read previous posts.
And idc if you think Lair or KZ2 looks like crap, I don't(plus I actually enjoyed the first KZ)
Plus graphics aren't everything, if the games fun I'll play it, I still play the original Zelda, FF's, Dragon Warrior/Quests to this day, because I enjoy them.

On the PS3 side, God of War 3(you know it's coming), White Knight Story, Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, Drake's Fortune(new Naughty Dog title), the future title from Fumito Ueda(behind Ico/Shadow of the Colossus), Lair, Heavenly Sword, Killzone 2(I enjoyed the first one, so sue me), Ninja Gaiden Sigma(not sure if this one will be ported), and Resistance 2(just titles already announced or hinted at, hopin for Suikoden VI to be announced as well)

On the 360 side there's Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Cry On(another Mistwalker title) Infinite Undiscovery, Eternal Sonata, Halo 3, Ninja Gaiden 2, Fable 2, and Project Sylpheed. Mind you these are just games announced for the most part so far, there will undoubtedly be more in the future.

Multiplatform games I'd get are DMC4, RE5, GTA4, Assassin's Creed, Unreal Tournament 3, and Mercenaries 2, not sure if I'd get for PS3 or 360 yet, depends if Sony releases a rumble compatible Sixxaxis(Immersion and Sony did make up, so who knows). The current one feels too light to me.

If MGS4 and FFXIII are made multiplatform I'd get for whichever system I'd want to play them on.
And if they don't become multiplatforms then they'd just become 2 more reasons for me to get a PS3.

It took the game(Resistance) 4 months to sell a million copies.

No where did I say that every shooter sequel on the 360 is stellar. But it has great ones. Which is more than the PS3 can say at this point. I mean, Call of Duty has tarnished it's original Gem, and it's fallen in to the "Yet Another World War II Game" slump.

I'd say Resistance is about just as good as Halo or Gears of War (though I haven't played much of Gears of War) so I don't care how the sales did right now (remember, there aren't THAT many PS3s that have been sold yet.. lol), the game itself is fine for a FPS. Nothing spectacular, I agree.. but not bad.. same as 360 has. Hell.. same as all Wii has so far too.. the only thing that sets Wii apart is the controls and so far the only FPS I can think of at the moment (Red Steel) has a rather dull story.

Heavenly Sword - Looks all right, don't know much about it.

White Knight Story? - Don't know it.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma - I've had ninja gaiden, for like 2 years, maybe the graphics arent as great but isnt it more about gameplay then graphics, oh well we get ninja gaiden 2 so im more excited about that then a remake of a game ive had for 2 years.

Kill Zone 2 - "Killzone 1, sucked before, so what made you think we wanted more" lol. And yeah i played KZ for like 30 mins then went back to socom. I'll look more at the PS3 when socom 4 comes out.

As far as GoW3, didnt GoW2 just come out? I doubt GoW3 will be coming out anytime soon so thats kind of a non issue at this point atleast in my mind.

So you agree with what he said, but then say it's wrong. He said "home of mediocre shooters," that doesn't mean it's the only description of the PS3, just that in the FPS genre they're lacking. You're making a big assumption about his intentions based on not understanding what he said.

Mass Effect looks fun, I do know that. But the story seems to be nothing new (y helo tar Freelancer). And I said, I've played a bit of Gears of War. It's fun but what I played seemed nothing that brought things new.

True, an assumption but it wasn't really a comment needing to be said, really. I just don't think you can say any FPS these days are all that great. For the most part the controls and gameplay are near the same and stories don't lack too much with anything new to it. You can say any system is the system with mediocre shooters.
